There is no contradiction. Otherwise an apple having no belief about god is also implicitly denying god’s existence by his logic. Secondly, not affirming god as the necessary precondition could also be implicitly accepting god’s existence because if god exist then even the statement of not affirming him itself is referencing god as the precondition because god is defined as the ground of ALL BEING OR FACTS.

Darth does AMA's (Ask Me Anything) streams regularly where he answers questions about his worldview from Atheists for hours at a time. So the critique I see from Atheists where they think he doesn't answer questions about his worldview are simply not true. They're just not understanding what TAG (presup is actually arguing). It proves God is the necessary pre-condition for knowledge and intelligibility through a comparison of competing systems (worldviews) which establishes all non-Christian worldviews cannot justify knowledge & intelligibility... and are therefore contradictory (meaning, necessarily false). Demonstrating that your worldview is contradictory like that requires focusing on your worldview for long enough to do a meaningful analysis, which takes time to gain information about what your worldview actually is and then to demonstrate why it's contradictory. Key point: This all takes TIME to demonstrate why your worldview is contradictory. And It's extremely common for Atheists to realize they've been backed into a corner during the internal analysis of their worldview, at which point they subconsciously attempt to divert away by changing the topic to someone else's worldview. It's always "you've asked me a lot of questions I just want to ask you one now" which seems reasonable to people who don't actually understand the debate and the fact it's required to remain focused on their worldview until the internal analysis has been resolved. That is a textbook *red herring fallacy* to divert away like that PRIOR TO resolving what was in contention. I understand you all emotionally HATE being called out for this red herring fallacy, but it objectively follows the structure of a red herring fallacy perfectly. So this isn't a matter of opinion. Red herring fallacy: Description: Attempting to redirect the argument to another issue to which the person doing the redirecting can better respond. While it is similar to the avoiding the issue fallacy, the red herring is a deliberate diversion of attention with the intention of trying to abandon the original argument. Logical Form: Argument A is presented by person 1. Person 2 introduces argument B. Argument A is abandoned. Exactly what you guys are doing when you do that. Exactly. @@Neverwas_one I think you may have shifted your critique of his methodology to a critique of the speaker himself. If you take issue with his script, then you need to cite a problem with his script, (i.e., the actual words he's using, his questions, etc.), not a problem with the speaker. Yes, the dude is a narcissistic jerk, but that doesn't automatically nullify his script, methodology, or line of questioning. There's a KZbinr I like to watch (Pine Creek) who has a simliar approach (script, prearranged set of questions, etc.) but he's much more civil and polite. He'll even throw in a few "gotcha" or trap questions, which I have no problem with because the point of a debate is to get your opponent in a corner. That's just good debate tactic..

It's a common thing with people not used to "academic discourse" to think someone is just spewing mumbo jumbo - too often cranks will want/demand/expect any and all concepts or results to be expressed in words so simply a child can understand (I wonder why...). I personally used to see it all the time with physics cranks. What they don't realise is that conversation between people who are well informed in a subject will involve technical terminology naturally, it isn't showing off. It's like going to Spain and thinking anyone who speaks Spanish is doing it to show off. It's a classic example of Dunning Kruger, they honestly don't realise just how little they know. Of course when the crank uses technical terms its even more hilarious. Unfortunately, as a tactic to try to appear credible in front of layperson audiences, it can be quite effective but to someone versed in the subject matter it's painful to listen to. Again, it's like speaking Portuguese to a Spanish person - to someone who only speaks Japanese it'll all sound much the same but to the Spanish speaker it'll be cringy beyond belief that the crank thinks they're able to pass themselves off as Spanish.

Your patience is very commendable! I would never be able to do it. Something I want to point out.. Everybody is aware that Darth just quits and runs when he realizes that his manipulation tactics will be unsuccessful. But something his severe narcissism causes him to do is to not actually kick someone at the point he says he is. Darth will say "were done!" He will then be quiet because likes to stick around to hear the reactions. And often comes right back to resume his bullying. What's even funnier is that when he is later talking to his minions about how the interaction went, he describes his "victory" almost entirely based on the genius answers he provided to questions being asked, when in reality he usually doesn't answer a single question. They fancy that they're geniuses, but really they've only learned how to play a rather childish game, and they're usually too dumb to be capable of handling any deviation from their script, or to even appreciate/grasp any cogent points you make. This went about how I expected it to go. Has any non theist ever defined a "fundamental and ultimate cause" or whatever the fuck Dawkins is supposing to be necessary for the non theist framework to not collapse? My main gripe is that his position ends up framing himself as the individual interpreter of his omniscient gods second hand truths, considering this claim cant be substantiated or argued against in any capacity.. So why couldn't I just similarly say that my non theist ultimate cause, is the natural intuition given to me by the universe? Because at the end of the day, even the information Dawkins is framing as 'universal truth given from an omniscient god' is merely his individual interpretation, its just one mans limited intuition filtering into a perspective/claim. A claim that he then frames as objective/universal by virtue of coming from an omniscent god, WITHOUT SUBSTANTIATING THOSE QUALIFIERS!!! So I would start there and then say so now its your job to get me to buy into this god idea & why his voices in your head should be taken seriously. But im sure he would never buy into the intuition argument to begin with, props for dealing with this dude.
