I’m praying that Phil will never forget the important people in his life. My mother died 2-1/2 years ago, but started showing signs of dementia about 3 years before she died. Many times I prayed, with lots of tears, and asked God to not allow my mother to forget me and my siblings. My paternal grandfather died back in the 1990s after having Alzheimer’s for about 10 years. He forgot my grandmother and all 8 of his kids. I told God I would be my mother’s memory to remind her to eat, take her meds, and anything else important, but I couldn’t bear the thought of my mother forgetting me. I took care of my mother after my dad died 4 years ago. Praise God for His mercy - my mother forgot lots of things, but she never forgot people. She knew me until the end. I will always be grateful for that.

Phil's openness and unashamedly transparent life and conversion is one of the most powerful testimonies that has impacted millions of people around the world! I was scrolling through the comments and just read yours. Don't give up the good fight and keep your faith. That goes for Phil and you too young man. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2015 and is still here today fighting the good fight. Only by God"s grace is he. He did take a herbal tea called Essiac that has helped him throughout this journey. It"s all natural, God given we like to say. He's been making the tea for other cancer patients for years now. He's had several folks call him up with great reports and a story about how doctors are amazed and he tells them every time, "See what God can do!". He explains it's not him it's God! My mother had dementia and the time came when she didn't know me as her child anymore, I was a nice lady that came to visit a lot....At 85 years, with cancer and age, her time came near. I held her, prayed, and as I held her in my arms, I felt Jesus take her from me and in that instant I knew she was healed and knew me as her baby....my prayers had been answered in the most miraculous way.... I'm a pastor here in Kentucky and have been in the ministry for 30 years now. We have been wanting for years to come visit you all and just say thank you for the encouragement over the years and your steadfastness in Christ. As a pastor, you get hurt a lot. You have helped me over the years to overcome many hurtles. Knowing you all are out there on the same team as me is very comforting. Praying for Phil and the whole family. Quick story that I think represents Phils kind of faith - An older preacher friend of mine many years ago when I was just first starting out came to my church to preach. He had just lost his wife and they were in their latter 70's at that time. He said one day he was missing his wife so very much. He stated that he was in the kitchen with the broom she had used for so many years doing chores that she used to do. He said the broom had a worn out spot where her hands had worn the paint off after using it for so very long. He said he placed his hands where hers once were trying to have some sort of closeness to her as his heart hurt so very badly missing her. He looked up to heaven with tears running down his face and gently asked The Lord, "Why did you have to take her?" He said a very still small voice replied within his spirit and clearly said, " I wanted to give her her reward." He said it changed his very life from that moment on and her memory became a celebration of victory in Jesus Christ! May God bless you all. I heard Jase make a comment one time that if someone came up to Phil‘s house. Phil was gonna tell them about Jesus because Phil knew that God has sent them there for that purpose . Phil's health saddens me. But he will be with God in time. I would love to have a dad like him. My "dad" was a monster! Far worse than Phil in his heathen days. Thankfully he died when I was 10. It took me years to finally forgive him. As an adult I realized he had demons. No man could do what he did if not. I have had faith my whole life. Yet, I struggle. I've been dealing with PTSD from my childhood. I Never felt loved, Or that I matter at all. Thank God I found Unashamed. It has helped me so much!! I finally see what real men are. I wish my family was this close. This family has helped me to realize that I am loved by God. I am saved by his grace. I am not worthless. Thank you Phil! I love you. I pray for you to not have pain. How comforting to know that Phil is a believer and knows where he will be going one day. I learned from my grandmother who was a believer and prayer warrior, to offer up pain and suffering to Jesus. I'm 73. Phil & I come from the same generation. At this point in life I look back to see what I leave behind. My children are the best of me, they are my legacy. I considered Phil's legacy & he has a massive ministry of fifty years. But I still think that his biggest legacy is his children; four sons & a bonus daughter. I'm up in new england , I watched you guys on TV as a young man and as a heathen .... fast forward to a story a lot like Phil's and I have quit drinking for good and turned my life around . I re-watched the tv show with my son and it meant a lot more to me .I have listened to unashamed from the day you all started it and loved every minute of it . Me my wife and my son love your family but we have a special spot in our hearts for phil because they went through the same stuff with me . A few months ago I commented on Sadie’s podcast while Al and Lisa were talking about their relationship and abortion issues. My comment was about being forcefully abused in many harsh ways and how I was once a victim but I’m now a Survivor and Prayer Warrior even though I’m a quiet person I want to get my testimony out there for as many people who will listen and believe. JESUS still does Miracles and I am a Miracle Christian because of Gods Love. I am praying for a miracle for Phil and all people suffering from Alzheimers and any other diseases and sickness no matter what they are In Jesus Name I Pray AMEN 🙏🙏. When I commented on Sadie’s podcast there were many people praying for me and for that I am so Thankful. Gloria
