I have never followed Shelby that closely but I have kept up with her from time to time for a good few years now and I have always appreciated her as a person and content creator. I support her 100%, it would be insane not to. I am incredibly happy and proud that she has found the ability to come forward with her story. DA is an incredibly hard thing to talk about. I personally have never experienced such a thing but I did have a friend who did and it has impacted her a great deal. I just want to say again that I’m very glad to see Shelby move past her relationship with Wilbur and reach a new place for herself in her life. She is a beautiful person who did not deserve to endure what she did in this relationship. DA should never be defined as something that is ‘violent enough’ because it sometimes does take a more subtle form. As someone who is mentally Ill and has dealt with mentally Ill partners I can tell you this is not normal Mine and my partners house is an absolute mess, we have biting in our play I have DID autism ADHD anxiety, depression, and he has autism and depression we are there for each other, we stop when asked, and we don’t smile when we hurt each other. If I'm being honest, I think he deserves all of the backlash he's getting and then some. Abusers want to sweep it under the rug, and that's exactly what his "apology" tried to do. He "thought it was playful and consensual" even when she used her safe word and even after she shouted in pain. He completely refused to use her name and instead referred to her as "his ex," which completely ruins the point of an apology because it just goes to show he doesn't care enough to directly apologize. It would have been a weight on his conscience that I’m glad he was able to shed in his final moments. I just finished rewatching the potato war trilogy. It was bittersweet, but it still made me smile, even though my own life is in shambles. Thank you, Technoblade. For doing what seemed impossible, even now. And thank you, Technodad. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but don't always believe the "victim". I have been accused of SA twice, I spoke to the school counsellor and she said she was ask the "victim" about it on both occasions, they both said to her that I was lying and that they hadn't said anything of the sorts but it was well known around the school that they had been saying this, because of this I have lost almost all my friends and I am in the process of moving schools.
