So, he went from being able to tell the difference between his kids and imposters...too forgetting his connections with his kids but knowing that the federation took the eggs. I guess lore-wise, that's the better option than just having him be discovered by everyone after the eggs have been found, but still want a re-roll because that seems like it'll hurt, more.
