Harpua - all honours due and gratitude for the vids of this. This is the most fun I've had with LF since Lowell left us. Just to epic for words.

Hey, not quite the original groove and vocals can't compare to LF, but kudos to Phish for capturing closer than I think anyone else could! Great effort, great tribute!
@JayGator97 жыл бұрын
LF vocals were overdubbed in the studio after the shows. This is truely live and unedited or overdubbed

Didn't they play "Don't Bogart That Joint"? which appeared on the original 2 disc record? Or did they cover the cheesy CD re-release that cut the song for lack of space on the new CD technology when it came around. Maybe it didn't make the cut here? I cant imagine, if Phish loves LF so much that they did not play this song...
@writer1254 жыл бұрын
They did play it, they did it a cappella. I believe I saw the video awhile back.

Geeze, the piano solo sounds like Bill Paine might play if he'd fallen off a ladder recently. Sorry for complaining, but don't try to re-create it if you half-ass, just do your own solo.

I Hate Phish--------------
@corkcamden98787 жыл бұрын
Why does every Tom, Dick and Sebastian thinks it's a good idea to overlay cheesy tinsel on a good video(well, except Phish cannot handle Lowell George. Lousy vocals but valiant attempt!)? Leave the blinkin' video alone!!
@robertkay95945 жыл бұрын
Just saw LF videos, and this is too canned. Lights are obnoxious. Don’t try to do dirty LF, too slick.
@tamhicks65549 жыл бұрын
Phish sucks. They can't sing or harmonize anywhere close to Lowell George and Little Feat. Just stop trying to play their songs. Little Feat was a legendary band. Each team I had the pleasure of seeing them play they always brought the best show! I'm so lucky to have seen some real classic rock bands. Not this cap like Phish.
@tbcass9 жыл бұрын
+Tam Hicks I like both Little Feat and Phish. No this isn't Little Feat but it's not bad at all. I think the only problem is they followed the original a bit too closely. When a band covers a Little Feat song I prefer they not try to sound like the original band but instead make it something new.
@2raloo9 жыл бұрын
+Tam Hicks Cant compare with LF, no way. Phish well done.
@Laopaspdi9 жыл бұрын
Jeez, "crap like phish"?? I understand opinions are opinions, but that stung me right in the melty part of my heart Do you think it's really that terrible? Obviously it's hard to get on little feat's level, but find me another band today you would rather hear cover it! Unless you're just utterly against covers, then that would explain your opinion to me
@makotokubota38239 жыл бұрын
+Laopaspdi I tell ya what. It's really hard song to cover, partly cas the little feat's version is so perfect and sound so easy. But It is simply a very difficult song. That's why you can't find many versions.
@Laopaspdi9 жыл бұрын
No denying the perfection of little feat, if I had to pick which band I liked better I would probably say feat before phish. However! I cannot deny the musical ability of these guys! Vocally the harmonies are off (as if they could ever be "spot on" to Lonnie and George) but listen to page and Gordo just rip through! While some may not enjoy it, there's certainly no reason for them to stop covering feat. Both are legendary in their own way, and there's no denying the inspiration trey got from hearing waiting for Columbus
