Woah now, don't be bashing metal. Metal fucking rocks, my 3 favorite bands are Phish, Opeth (progressive death metal band) and Dream Theater (progressive metal band). There are a ton of phans into metal, the big Phish group I'm a part of on Facebook we used to have tons of discussions about metal, you'd be surprised! And I can damn well promise you will never catch me standing around staring at people at a Phish show, you can find me boogying down from the first note to the last!

I too am a metal person. I like the super hard super fast rip your tits off metal. And i love Phish. Also, metal people know how to dance - you just go to the dance floor and move in time with the music. It doesn't matter if you're flopping around like a drunk giraffe on 3 broken legs as long as you do it with confidence. the likelihood is the 11 thumbs down were beliebers who wouldn't know good music if you battered them around the head with it.

+Jeffrey Eliot if you truly like the dead, you are wrong to rag on phish, because although a different style, they are masters of the jam, just like the dead are. anyone who knows jam bands and regards the dead as the all time godfather of jam bands should certainly recognize that phish is something special. when Jerry died I was completely lost musically, and thought no music would get me off like that again. but phish got me rocking again and have done a stellar job carrying the torch. I now hold them on equal footing with the dead. I know a lot of people would disagree with that, but that is how I feel. all that said...even if they don't do it for you, you should still respect that level of musicianship.

Bonzoandthemadhatter Plinko is just a word for playing staccato notes. Those couple of notes at the beginning of the jam are what Plinko funk is referring to in the case of this song
