“First came the light, then came the sound, then came the worlds can never slow down, then came the people with problems and hopes that don’t mean a thing if they just knew the scope.” Trey and Tom at it again!

Heard this on the car radio on the way home this morning. Definite ear worm. Great song.

This song depicts perfectly what we have done to ourselves, God did not do this! We made the mistake of choosing fear over love. Everything God created is eternal, everything the Ego made (me) is perishable, thank goodness. This is not my home. I am just choosing to see this instead, for now. God is only love and is only waiting for our return. No one will be left out. And all our mistakes will be corrected, by us. Thank you for those beautiful lyrics!

How can you be sure, sister? As a recovering New Ager myself, flowery philosophy and “transcendental consciousness” which you allude to, can’t save anyone’s soul at the end of the day. The easiest thing to do is grab a Bible for God’s eternal word and see the only person in history who conquered death, Jesus Christ. I’m not talking about religion either, because Jesus came to dismantle that. It was the very people Jesus came to save that killed him, after all. Avoid the gnostic texts which portray a false-light Christ, which ensnared me greatly. He is the God-man, not an ascended master as new age religion teaches. Secular philosophy is extremely deceptive, as are psychedelics, plant medicines, etc. Please forgive me for chiming in, I certainly don’t want to pontificate to anyone. Just wanted to share the greatest news of all to someone who may not have heard it. Be blessed, sister! 😇

I loved this song in the original pitch before they changed it this year.

They only played the song three times before this show including one other show that year. The pitch is the same, unless you are referring to the way Trey sings it with TAB which is different.

@@katzpdx you mean Nashville, San Francisco & Mexico?
@katzpdx3 ай бұрын
@@nicoyoung1998 Yup. I went back to listen to them based on your comment. I could not note any real differences in pitch or otherwise, but I will admit I am not a musician or singer, so take my comment with a huge grain of sale.

But then when Huntsville happened, they changed it to the TAB pitch.

Great tune. A little like Crowd Control. I prefer tunes like this as openers and peppered thru the 1st set, rather than 20 minute jam openers.
