I've always assumed it would return solely based on the "BETA" classification. Only after i quit videogames (DMZ being my primary game most of the last years) many months back did i hear it was canceled in some delineation or another. Im glad to hear some/if any confirmation or talk confiming my original suspicions. It was a one of a kind experience in the early seasons and its one of the few, if not only games that vaules not being a complete and under shtbag all the time hahah One of the only semi-cicalized gaming communities. long live DMZ 👍

DMZ was the reason I came back to cod . I played from the very first cod and would play the campaign then not touch it . Bo2 was when I started playing multiplayer and even with that after a month I wouldn’t play the game again. I got mw2 with a ps5 bundle, I was looking through the game modes and I saw DMZ, I didn’t know what it was but was hooked instantly as it’s more then just mindless killing each other .

DMZ in the beginning was awesome. Some PvP , some PvE, surprise interactions, , lots of maps and missions. Best mode ever. Just left because now it's just PvP, too hard for solo players. I hope they bring this mode back in the future

They discontinued support on DMZ for the MWIII life cycle hoping that the DMZ community would hop-on MW Zombies, but we did not. I think what's happening is that Activision may be realizing their mistake and they've now understood that there is not only an actual audience for that type of gamemode, but also a new direct and solid competitor with Delta Force coming out soon, which may very well be why we could see DMZ servers held-up as well as DMZ return in the next IW game. Let's hope it happens !

I'm inclined to agree that with DMZ still up and running, the odds are beginning to look favourable that DMZ 2.0 will be released, hopefully in stand alone mode. It would be excellent if mission completion and loadout were carried over, and they scrapped one shot shotguns, the under barrel glitch, lag hacking and under map glitches so we're left with a more equitable playing field.

For me, I just don’t see Activision abandoning the extraction shooter genre. I kind of consider this to be similar to blackout. It was quite popular, but it didn’t quite hit how it needed to. Some time passed and we got wz. I truly think they’re going to come back with a vengeance at some point and have something much more fleshed out. If they’re smart, they will make it a completely separate game. Unique weapons, attachments and systems only found in DMZ. And no goofy skins. If they play their cards right, they could have them that would be insanely popular.

I just started playing Call of Duty last year in November and I've really enjoyed it. I think with the community that still exists for DMZ that they should keep it running. Give some updates and possibly even expand the size of von Dell seeing as you can look across the water and see a whole town over the bridge they need to make it bigger. @Phixate you are also missing the fact that Infinity Ward, creators of DMZ, opened a NEW Studio in Austin, Tx, last November (2023) to work on 'innovative' new CoD experiences (and DMZ or PvEvP mode is new and innovative for CoD). This after they stated that they had learned all they could from this successful Beta and would take those learnings forward. Of course that doesn't necessarily guarantee that their new studio was set up specifically to make DMZ 2.0, but if you look at the 'success' of DMZ, the fact its still popular and still selling Bundles, it seems logical they created a Studio that can 'continue' with DMZ beyond the 'yearly' cycle of their mainline CoD. This year its Treyarchs year after Sledgehammer took over with MW3 from Infinity Ward and their DMZ year and MW2 release.

I think a way to fix Koschei but still have it part of Al Mazrah is to have the entrances lock once the gas starts moving, so if you need to go into Koeschei you have to do it earlier in the raid, and once a team uses the entrance it locks (one time use per raid)

That's right. Treyarch is releasing their black ops 1 sequel in 2025. IW will release their new title in 2026. It's always possible that they may be preparing for an update considering IW basically let sledgehammer completely take the reigns for MWIII after season 2. Before season 2 of MWIII infinity ward was still hard pressed on controlling what sledgehammer could release and update. After season 2 is when SH started flooding the game with content and hasn't really stopped. So hopefully it means that IW got focused on something else and is cooking up an apology game for screwing up so bad with MWII 😂

I stopped playing altogether when they cancelled DMZ but absolutely loved the game. Would definitely pick up a controller again if it comes back. Loved the mission aspect to the game, and as a not very good player game me the opportunity to drop in and at least play rather than just get decimated in MP constantly.

I honestly feel like they aren't concerned about the game at all or the community. How much development do you need to nerf 0SS? That one thing would be a huge improvement. Go into WZ games see how many people talk versus DMZ. The DMZ community is loyal and I haven’t heard anyone say that if they came out with a pay to play DMZ that they wouldn’t pay for it. On the flipside I’ve heard many people say that they won’t buy battle passes or the main game if DMZ is not upgraded.

Been saying this for a while now. However, don’t expect different maps. I have a feeling they’re going to use the same maps or iterations of these maps. Eventually, there will definitely be a Mexico map and an ashika redux. (Perhaps different games.) There will also be a weapon bench/buy station in the lobby. They’ll struggle (for some stupid reason - perhaps because of derpy players that want to complain and trolls that want everyone to be as miserable as they are 🤷‍♂️) with the special vests (nerfs, buffs, etc) I know that much. The major downside will be the cheating, unfortunately.

I uninstalled the game one month ago because of cheaters. i live in Eastern Europe and every lobby has cheaters and 4 team squad. i have LVL 1250 since a year ago and since then it has been like this but now i feel like there are no more legit players to play with, every single guy that kills me is a cheater, you can clearly see the aim bot on the kill cam. Activision will not ban them because they represent 90% of the community. There will be no one left to play with.
