It's great that it detects a number of different dangerous gasses. Gasoline: it evaporates super fast. If you leave an open empty can out overnight it will probably be completely odorless in the morning. It's the ones that still contain gas that you'd be leary of. Thanks.

These are really good, I got one of these because I suspected I had a small gas leak in my hot water tank pipes, after some investigating I found out that there was indeed a very small leak, when I called the fire department they were unable to find it so they were very surprised about the effectiveness of this tool, once the gas specialist came he confirmed the leak.

Hi! @ 7:45 I wanted to see if this tool detected sewer gas-our replacement toilet is not flushed on the tile floor and I know I smell sewer gas. Husband and daughter say they smell nothing. This tool didn't detect anything. Do you recommend a different type of tool detector just for sewer gas? I'm trying to make piece with this toilet!

For sewer gasses just find a cleanout and take the cap off. They can be found either at the bottom of stacks, right before the building drain leaves the house, or in the front yard. Or just fart on it 😅
