Hey bud, just watched your return video and wanted to stop and say how extremely proud of you I am. I have personally been struggling with alcohol as well, and it has been extremely rough. Addictions in general are bad, but with alcohol being EVERYWHERE it SUCKS. I get it. I have been in a rut recently and have been worried about relapsing, but honestly hearing your words at the start of the video reignited the flame that's been keeping me going. In a few days I will be 5 months sober, which has been one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I truly hope that you know how much we absolutely love and care about you. You've grown a great community here for a reason, and lord knows it's not because War Thunder is a happy and wonderful game haha. You are genuinely an amazing person, and I know from experience how difficult that can be to see when dealing with addiction. The alcohol is the problem; not you. Keep it up Steve, and never be nervous to talk about your personal life on the channel. We're all in this together. ❤

It gets a little easier every day. I've been sober for over 10 years now and the desire doesn't even cross my mind anymore. There's plenty of hobbies to keep you busy if need distractions and always lean on your family and friends if you feel yourself slipping.

Then a lot of countries would really struggle because some of their post-WW2 designs only really work against WW2-era designs at best. Also, a lot of early post-WW2 designs were made to fight in WW2 even if they never got to the frontline in time

I almost agree with this. There are some post war vehicles that aren’t good enough to fight Cold War vehicles. I think of the Swedish 4.0 pansarvarnskanovagn. There is a compromise somewhere because I generally think warthunder is boring after WWII.

The year was 2022. I was in my first foreign country. I was 10 days into a 14 day trip through Germany. It was the first day I had to relax. My wife and I were in a small town called Messien. Problem with WW2 as a hard cutoff is that we lose a lot of late '40s, equivalent early '50s designs. Things like the T29 and T34 were, generally, built and tested after the war ended. It'll also put massive holes in minor (and in some cases major) tech trees as well, where there isn't an abundance of vehicles to choose from.

I feel like the M109's perfectly fine at WW2 tiers tbh It helps liberate from the oppressiveness of heavies, equalizes the field a bit while having incredibly thin, MG-able armor.

While you were gone Gaijin added the Obj 292 which is still severely undertiered. Could be fun to take it out for a spin with a generous amount of HE that can overpressure most MBTs in the game by literally just hitting them anywhere (except russian ones ofc). It's like a M109 but fast, has armour, has an autoloader and it gets access to apfsds. Great to have you back.

Had to add to this conversation, where Germany in BR6.7 is REALLY painful. Having your best tank in that tier fighting uptiered stuff the majority of the time is a pretty humbling experience, especially the when the best penning vehicle in that tier is a PZ4-5, and that thing has toilet paper for armor.
