Seriously! Without teenage girls we wouldn't get some of the biggest bands in the world. The Beatles wouldn't have gotten so huge if it wasn't for their popularity amongst young girls. Same goes for early Radiohead or The Strokes. People like looking down on their tastes until they embrace it and then pretend as if they never shunned it.

Fascinating insight into the life of a performing artist! By the way not all 'mature gents' are stuck in the past. I love Matt Berninger and the National and Bon Iver, and I'm probably about the same age as Phoebe's dad. Both of these two are incredibly talented artists and musicians (who just happen to also be young women), and I love the music they each make. Great music is great music and I don't care who makes it, what their age is, what their gender is, what their ethnicity is., Etc. Anyone can and should make music if they want to and it's fantastic that access to and enablement of performing and enjoying that music is becoming less monocultural and more diverse. More please! 🌝👏👏👏
