@@octoberwitch7968 To make the doctor they helped against Shax forget about them having powers. That doctor is the reason their secret was compromised which led to them being chased, Piper getting killed by a crazy lady, which then forced them to go back in time, leading to Prue's death. That's why this whitelighter memory dust doesn't make sense. They even created "The Cleaners" in later seasons that are meant to keep magic from getting exposed (that weren't there in Season 3)... Season 4 had some good moments but it went downhill after The Source's death and then Charmed became something else.

Yes but I think she needed the power of three because she was calling for a complete stranger rather than a relative, if I remember correctly Grams and their mom can actually hear them and just come down to earth when they cast this spell most likely because their also witches and family but casting it for a stranger probably calls for more power behind it.

I believe piper also pricked her finger to call blood to blood looking for Prue at first when grams came, then it was her and Phoebe using this spell to summon grams when they found out Paige could be a new charmed one.
