Apparently, Ishba doesn't want a point guard (which is needed ), so the Suns needs to get a decent big power forward to put Durant at the small forward spot and they need to upgrade their center spot.

@@MC-qf8op nobody is saying get all that just by one trade, they will need to do research in the free agency as well. Also, Suns are so limited so don't expect a major upgrade from the players that they get. Suns may have to start looking into the younger player market that they can quickly develop or don't require much work. Young players are beginning to become more impactful in today's league anyways.

@@zeus4885 In the post season conference, he was asked about the point guard issue and he said that he wants the ball in the big 3 hands as much as possible. To me , that's indicating that they will not be seeking for a point guard. I hope that they can at least get a backup point guard or something.

I don’t think he was saying they don’t want one next season. I would be totally shocked if they had no interest in pursuing a PG this offseason. Nurk seems like a good team guy and does contribute a lot, but if we can't get some athleticism, rim protection, and mobile height we are going to struggle with him. If he could work on his offensive game and (a) stop bringing the ball down when he catches it under the hoop and (b) just develop an elbow shot it could really improve the spacing on the court.

We aren't getting a starting center that fits those descriptors. Best we can get is a backup caliber player who fits most of those.

Being realistic to get some bodies on our roster. Killian Hayes…who is unemployed could be our point guard off the bench. And James Wiseman is a restricted free agent, but I doubt the Pistons would fight too hard to keep him.

I’d give Nurk with 1 or 2 picks for Bagley + Bilal or Stephen adams + Tati Eason. Get a wing defender that is actually good with a similar or more athletic center. Both those teams are in the market😊

It makes sense if its Jusuf Nurkic ($18,125,000) + the 2031 1st for Grant Williams, Nick Richards ($ 18,025,250 combined) + maybe the 42nd pick in this year's draft and a future 2nd round draft pick. Draft another C with the 22nd pick (maybe Edey, Ware, or Missi)

We have already seen players like Royce Oneale, Thad Young, Bol Bol, KBD, Gordon not good enough for this 'big 3'. Now the remaining opitons are only worse. But all these players are NBA players and should be good enough. The problem is the 'big 3' - the engine of this team is broken. All the role players should follow the lead but there is no lead. No matter who you have on your bench, he aint gonna do shit when the game plan is 3 guys taking turns.

Just because he was drafted 17th doesn’t mean they wouldn’t trade him for a pick lower than that lol. Eason is talented but good organizations are quick to move on once they realize their prospect isn’t the right fit, and they get whatever value they can for him while they can. Bad organizations double down on bad decisions. Rockets are well ran and won’t do that

Trade Nurk to satisfy another roster need, then figure out the center position by doing another move. The Warriors won a title with Kevon Looney at center. Serge Ibaka was slightly above league average as a center in 2019 and Raptors won a title. They don’t necessarily need a top tier center to improve the roster.

I like names like norm powell and jarrett allen but powell reminds me too much of okogie. Literally the same type of player. Because of our front office's poor decision making and lack of flexibility, we are in a position to lose more than we gain. We also need to consider that other teams watched our embarrassing first round ass kicking by the wolves and the lazy, gutless performance by our players. I really can't see anyone jumping to aquire anyone outside of our top 3 guys. No one is going to help us improve through trades or free agency. Our players value ( outside the big three) is at an all-time low. Nobody wants our garbage, we need to be realistic and stop drinking the " james jones punch". We are in such a bad situation that like it or not our best option to add depth and better bench players would actually be through the draft. There are centers, wing defenders and pointguards all through the draft, this is part of james jones job. He's been ignoring scouting, player development and the draft way back to the Sarver era. We've seen the result the last several years. Any other gm would of been fired by now for not reaching the team's goals for the season. We haven't gotten better despite the big names, we've lost chemistry, size, playmaking, youth and athleticism, defense and have regressed as an organization. Most of our guys could walk and we can't afford them anyway. Would any of them feel good about coming back after what happened in the playoffs? If someone offers bol more money we can't bring him back. Like i said, we are set to lose much more than we gain. Not using the draft is just lazy and choosing not to do your job.

Partly why we were so bad from 2010-2020 is cos we traded away rondo and deng and later dragic cos management did dragic wrong and never should of got Bledsoe and we should of built around dragic by that time and let him be our point guard! Rondo and deng could of stayed on later teams after 2010 if we kept them

You have to keep Nurkic and live with the downsides. There's no way you get a better option at center this offseason either through the draft or trading the pick(s) + Little. Eubanks was JJ's first miss at backup center on a minimum contract, after pretty good choices with Landale, McGee, and Saric, I think he can get one that does what Nurkic can't. The real issue is the lack of size on the wing outside of KD. Hopefully they can get someone using Little and the picks that does that.

The Suns are straight garbage. Just face it you guys aren't winning anything. Durant is getting older. He can score but isn't a great defender. Beal plays the same position as Booker and he's not a defender either like a Gary Payton or Marcus Smart. Booker is about the only solid piece the Suns have but their depth is absmal. That's like have Jordan and Pippen but not having Rodman, Kerr, Kucoc, Ron Harper. The Suns aren't going to beat the Nuggets, Timberwolves and Mavs. All 3 are getting better with the exception of the Nuggets. But the Nuggets are still a title contender.
