Right click > select edit > Voila ;) 2. Run your miner file as an admin. Either the .bat file or the .exe file. Why? Because some functionality such as -mt will need admin privileges to be able to change your GPU memory timings. 3. It is RECOMMENDED to verify the checksum of your downloaded zip file to make sure that you have an authentic phoenixminer. I made a little imgur file here with some info imgur.com/9bhL99D - Thank you Kendle for bringing this up! 4. I realized that the config.txt part of the video came out very laggy >.

-fanmin and fanmax does NOT work on rx580s and 5700xts, been trying to figure out for last 2 days with no luck. Also, somewhere(probably on miner.farm website) it was written that to make -fanmin and -fanmax work we NEED to have -tt enabled, and as checked it looks true as -fanmin and -fanmax has no control over GPU fans tuning. So can you tell a way to do so?

Do you know how to fix more stale shares on pheonix miner than on trexminer.. mining rig is on pheonix runs good.but gaming pc onnphoneix gots way more stale shares over 10%

quick tip, in the bat file type "TITLE - "your title"". this will put a nice little title in your bar when running the miner. Just helps you keep track of which you are running. I do something to the effect of Coin-Pool-Miner....so example would be "TITLE - Eth-NanoPool-Phoenix". I do this with my .bat file names as well.

You should go over verifying checksums in a later video, I noticed when you downloaded the file from bitcoin talk, you didn't verify checksums. This is an important step in ANYTHING crypto.

The ones you run in phoenixminer will overwrite any settings you have running but I recommend closing msi afterburner if your using Phoenixminer command line method

Dude, thank you for this in-depth video. been using Phoenix miner for years. and there's things in this video that I learned that I didn't know before! I really do appreciate it. Only thing I guess I have a question on is, AMD cards and Nvidia cards you type in different ways of the clock settings. A bit confusing cuz you put negative values for Nvidia cards and then AMD cards are all positive values. either way, excellent video very informative I really do appreciate it!

Yup, I have one with micron chip, gives 33 MH/s at just 85W (on software) better than other RX 580 variants I have. Get Polaris cards with micron chip regardless of the brand.

Yess although windows is a bit of a surprise box. You might get random crashes due to overclocks but when you find the right settings then your all set

Great video as always...NOBODY else has a current, easy to understand PhoenixMiner tutorial! One question though, I see 'Current', 'Reported' and 'Average' hashrate in the graphs in Ethermine. Which one of these is important?

Thank you!! And the main one is average. As long as your average is good then your set! Needs 12 hours or so to display the right hashrate from your reported usually. A video on pools coming soon ;)

@@MiningChamber When I try and start the miner it says "no valid pools specified in epools.txt" i have my layout exactly the same as yours, don't know why it's not working. I also renamed file to epools.txt and tried a whole bunch of different things inside of it. The same thing keeps popping up.

I'm pretty sure i'm just missing some of the settings in the miner. I'm able to get the proxy setup and connected with the pool, but nothing gets sent from the proxy to the miner.

Well i have the miner set up and it runs but it just randomly pauses, im on an older nvidia driver from last year november 457.30 2080ti i have no overclock applied so im not to sure whats going on, it runs for about 2min before stopping, no errors are present

No overclocks is bad, try to apply overclocks proper for mining first

Just got my GPU up and running--it shows as being connected to Ethermine and everything seems to be working well; however, when I use my mining address on ethermine, it shows that I have 0 workers active. I've question, what if we have multiple config.txt files. Let's say we have config1.txt , config2.txt and config3.txt, then we hit the interactive commands to reload the config. Which config file will be take place ?

It will only take config.txt file, any other ones will be ignored ! So the one you want active name it config.txt and then the other ones you can change their name and rename them later on
