Just tried this today, great start to my HiiT sessions. This is what I did. Set 1: Regular Bounce Set 2: Boxer skip Set 3: Kickouts Set 4: Running / alternate foot Set 5: Jumping Jack with rope 5 cycles as mentioned. 3 days ago I could only do upto 1000 skips in 30 mins. I'm in love with jump rope. Thanks

Day 1: went through round 1 just fine; got tired at round 2 - continued jumping rope doing moves other than basic bounce and boxer shift (high knee, side to side, butt kick, run, etc...) ⏱ took longer breaks and frequent poses as of round 2 🍹 water Day 2: did not workout Day 3: went through round 1-2 with NO difficulty; continued round 3-4 with very mild difficulty; almost gave up on last 2 bounces of final round - Mostly did basic bounce and boxer shift except last 2 bounces of final round that I did a few “kicks” for few seconds ⏰ took longer break/pause on final round, but not too much 🍹 ice sparkling water Day 4: I did the entire workout without “much difficulty”. I did not take extra break or extra pause. I did not feel too tired. 🍹 I only had water 🎶 I listened to some Pumped Pop on Spotify 🌸 I will do some more jump rope but dance style (just for fun) Day 5: did not workout Day 6: did not workout Day 7: did full workout without difficulty. Made a couple of mistakes. Music 🎶 pumped pop then Lizzo 🍹 water

I started on May 6 with your video of 30 seconds and 15sec rest and about 3 weeks ago I started doing this one, then I started combining both. What I do now is that I join the repetitions, so instead of jumping 40 seconds I do 95 seconds (I also jump during the break) and 15 seconds rest and then again 95 sec. Will you later upload a video with a longer jumping time, like 1 minute and so? I love my new legs and all thanks to your videos! Regards from Mexico!!

Great video, I was wondering you seem to jump on beaded rope always, I hear you should size beaded shorter than usual, what's your opinion on size for freestyle, you definitely do not look your age.
@PHOENIXNATIONFITNESS6 жыл бұрын
I actually use two styles of rope. Each rope has a difference purpose. If I am training new Jump Rope Skills then I definitely use my beaded. When I have mastered the skill I then pick up my Speed Rope and try to master it with this rope. I also alternate between beaded and speed for my conditioning circuits....

I don't count calories when I workout... I just enjoy my training and let the rest take care of itself. And thanks for the feedback on this video more workouts coming soon....
@MsHelga914 жыл бұрын
Calorie burn depends on a whole host of factors such as height and weight, energy and fitness levels, etc. but in general, the heavier you are, the more you burn. But as a general example, say you are 180lbs, in 20 mins. if you go super hard, you should be able to burn anywhere between 150 - 180 calories. Moderate pace would be 125 - 150. So in 30 minutes, on average, 250 - 300 calories. And what I have realized in my own case is, the fitter I am, the more I burn because I am working out that much harder. A few months ago, I barely burned even 100 calories in 20 minutes. Now, I burn anywhere between 150 - 180 calories with this workout in the SAME amount of time, ie, 20 minutes so I am definitely getting there! The above said, I do agree with Winter :) I used to be really obsessive about calorie burn to the point where I literally stopped working out cos I would think: if I haven't burned 500 calories, what is the point? I definitely shouldn't have done that because it did far more harm than good. While I still do consider calorie burn, I am definitely not obsessive about it anymore and like Winter said, I concentrate far more on sweating and enjoying the workout.
