I Interviewed WWE 2K23 Developer Bryan Williams!

Continuing on with my WWE 2K23 Developer Interviews we have an absolute legend joining me today in Bryan Williams. Bryan has worked on some of my favorite wrestling games of all time, and it was such a dope experience to finally talk with him in person. @@bryanhurley9181 he wasn’t from 2k15 -2k22. His contract ended with Yukes and AEW fight for ever and was called back to work on 2K23. He’s been at it a long time though and some of the best wrestling games of our childhoods

@@Zergrush66 no 2K didn’t want to listen and change for the better and that’s why they had to build a whole new engine for 20 and that was trash. I lost all faith in the series. Be I’ll bring back is cool but the move animations are complete unrealistic and there is a pause in between moves when it should be fluid.

Dudes have been with this franchise since SVR 2006 legend Glad he's back with 2K and it's probably the reason we finally got a new game mode 😂 you can tell the guy generally cares about the product which is rare nowadays I still go back every now and then and play smackdown versus rww 2006 and 2007 and those games got me into a lot of metal and rock bands I listen to nowadays

Speaking of SVR 07 my favorite features in that game was: GM Mode, the locker room and Story Mode. Hopefully MyRise gives me that same feeling that season mode did

Being a person who plays Universe Mode mainly. I am super happy to hear it’s finally getting a good overhaul this year. 2K22 was fun but very repetitive and hard to keep things fresh n fun. I seriously thank the WWE 2K Devs for their hard work they put in every year. I do hope 2K23 is a good one. Very excited to play it!

That Jaydriller has been in the game for a while under the name "butterfly piledriver". I'm glad he's back, I'm glad universe mode is getting love but I'm still unsure. I want to be able to do an elbow drop through a table but it looks like this year it will just be the splash again 😩

Smack Down Shut your Mouth was my absolute favorite wrestling game. The lobby "subway and all those dope outside areas. And in another game you can take a soda drink from the crowd and throw it in your opponents face.

Universe mode is pretty much the only mode I play, I maybe play showcase once and a bit of superstar but 99% of my time is in my universe, so these news cannot be any better for me, this game needs to come out like yesterday.

Hi, how are you there? Well, the graphic evolution of WWE 2K22 (NBA 2K standard) is undeniable, as well as the return of GM Mode, it was also a much desired return. But the game mechanics unfortunately regressed. It would be great if the developers of the next WWE 2K would bring: 1. Possibility of rivals to focus on each other, in events like Royal Rumble, or Elimination Chamber. 2. Blows with tables and chairs, with opponent on the ground (in WWE 2K14). 3. Ladder positions (wedge, Lean) (in WWE 2K15). 4. Double Title entrances (in WWE 2K14). 5. Use steel steps as a weapon (in WWE 2K14). 6. The Draft (in WWE 2K15), with animation (like on Smackdown Shut your mouth). 7. You can stack tables (in WWE 2K14). 8. Chain grapple (in WWE 2K15). 9. Different chair actions. (in WWE 2K18). 10. Every OMG Moment (in WWE 2K19). 11. Squash matchs (in WWE 2K18). 12. Cage wall smash OMG! moment (in WWE 2K19). 13. Choose a Storyline (Rivalries, Story Collection in WWE 2K15). 14. King of The Ring winners get a unique victory scene (in WWE 2K14). 15. Create a Story (in WWE 2K14). 16. Download created story, available in the community creations.

Just an observation. Last year when NBA 2k was releasing. They put out a 10 minute video on thr my eras mode in my NBA. It was a detailed 10 minute video that described what you could do and all of the features. This is a regular thing with NBA 2k. However, with wwe 2k. They're always very veig. They never elaborate and usually the reason is because there's nothing to elaborate on. We find out the hard way after we drop $75. If these devs were really excited about universe mode. They would be telling us everything! Not keeping it a surprise. Because we've been wanting so much from that game mode for 8 years. Expect universe mode to be repetitive and underwhelming.
