Opening 17 Limited Run Blind Box Games

I've had psn for over a decade between ps3 and ps4, and it's crazy that a lot of these games were $1-3, if not free with psn, and LRG makes a killing on making them physical. It feels kinda cool in some respects, but kinda slimy as well.

Absolutely nothing slimy. First of all, these games are given limited physical copies for fans who do NOT want digital only titles. So obscure games even if they were $1 on psn cost a lot to make physical hence why it’s a limited run. Just because someone wants to resell it for $30-60 doesn’t mean you have to buy it either that’s not LRG fault. Infact Shantae and the pirates curse originally sold on LRG for $30 now goes for $500 because of scalpers. This isn’t LRG fault for wanting to make physical games for collectors. They’re smart they don’t just flood the market with games no one wants.

Slimy feels very weird to me. Theyre giving these games the chance for physical after they had originally been denied that chance, they dont sell for ridiculous prices on the site itself. Its really a great system for everyone involved except if youre looking to buy the more popular titles after their run has ended

When new they’re around 25 bucks. Pretty reasonable when you consider they’re not produced in the quantities that mainstream titles are. Then you have to figure in all the licensing and production costs.

Blind boxes are basically like opening packs of magic the gathering or Pokemon... It's a money sink. LRG knows this and has made a killing on them.

@Dot Com yeah but a lot of them barely sell. And on ebay there are a lot of buyers with 0 feedback who try to scam. They will buy full price without making an offer. Happens to me all the time on there. Also, he got mist of the ones that sell for 25 or under and after shipping youre losing at least $10. Also, he got pretty lucky actually. If you go look at other videos they got all the the $30 and under games.

@Dot Com you can also do that with Pokémon or magic packs. It's definitely not as bad value wise but since it's mostly limited run just clearing up old stock chances of getting good ones is probably also fairly low.

Since you bought all these games from the same order they all got pulled from the same case and each case has a set amount with no doubles. Only way you could get doubles if you made more than one order. Great video Caleb

My favorite Limited Run release is probably the recent Scott Pilgrim vs the World on PS4. Its my favorite movie of all time and I never played the game back when it originally came out and thought I missed my chance but it's back on digital game shops and they did a limited run physical release that I had to pick up.

I love the Scott Pilgrim movie too and when I heard they were selling the game on their website I had to get it. I also didn't get a chance to play it because I didn't own a PS3 at the time at least that way I can get a physical copy just in case it gets removed out of the digital market again.

@@ladynikkie I know that this post is old, but Ubishit put DRM on the physical game. You have to register the game online, and it's even more scummy that LRG allowed this to happen. They are supposed to be "physical forever", but this game can be taken away from you if Ubishit sees fit to do so.

I would hold on to dear life to that Curse of the Moon. Even though it was printed a while back, it is still sought after especially the Vita version and LR isn't printing Vita games anymore. I bought the collector's edition for the ps4 I kind of wish I bought the switch version too. But still excellent collection you got there yeah I think limited run mentioned this year's mystery boxes they had an overstock from last year's that's why people are getting more random stuff. And to answer your question, my favorite is Curse of the Moon I purchased the collector's edition that looks like an NES Konami box

My favorite Limited Run game is Celeste Limited Edition for the Switch. I managed to buy it when it came out, opened it, and played it, still stuck at chapter 9. I'm never going to sell or trade it.

The number on the spine is number release for the system so p13 is their 13th release for ps4. Reason the back doesn't match is because that included the vita games in that total

I did this once, never again. You do sometimes get a game with decent value but they mostly use it to dump real stinkers. At the end of the day after fees you end up even or with a small loss if you're flipping. Add the time it takes to process sales and it's definitely not worth it. I resold most of them via Amazon and ebay.

limited runs are usually indie games on PC that are good, but has been sold cheap as digital. Only reason why I am not on the Limited Run hype.

Don't really buy a whole lot of Limited Run titles, but got Corpse Killer and Gunhouse. Out of those, I definitely prefer Gunhouse. I'd like to get more Limited Run titles in the future, but usually the games don't fully appeal to me. Or, I just don't have the money.

I just unloaded a good amount of my sealed PS4 Limited Run collection on eBay and I wouldn't be surprised if one of those sold you mentioned was mine. I let them go cheap just to move them since I had so many.

I believe the discrepancy between the lrg #26 and ps4 #15 numbering is due to the lrg numbering considering all consoles (vita, switch, etc) and the ps4 numbering being limited to the releases on that console.

As with anything collection based, they are numbered. So that game was the 26th game but its actual print for that specific game is #15 out of however many were made.

Nice video, limited run, super rare games, play Asia, red art games, pixel art games, all make short print physical copies of digital or older games, they are all hit and miss but some are worth reselling esp, very low numbers mainly for Nintendo switch but do not sleep on the ps vita..... good luck everyone PEACE

I know this is an old video but lrg gets their blindboxxes in boxxes of 30 and all 30 are unique games. so they fill the orders 1 box at the time so the only way too get duplicates is if part of your order comes from 1 box and part 2 from another

I always keep an eye for new LRG, I just recently got Doom 64 for switch from them and just ordered Doom 1-3 collection for switch. Another gem to get from them Is Everspace Galactic Edition

These indie games made sense on the Vita... but I've never understood putting them on the PS4.. and now the PS5. It's like 50MB of data on a bluray disk? Not to mention they would still run on old hardware. What's the point of having a huge collection of PS5 games that would run fine on a PS3...

Most limited run games are open preorder, so all the people complaining they artificially print low amounts are wrong. They leave the preorder open for a set time and whatever orders they get are what they make and round up to the nearest 1000 I believe they said on their site. Then they have some extra to sell after and also print extra with alt covers for Best Buy. Also if people don't want to pay collectible price just buy the download of it. HOME is okay. I played it a few years ago. It was a $3-4 download. I think the reason switch and vita physical are worth more is because people want physical due to the limited storage of those systems, especially vita and their $$$ memory cards and the fact Sony is closing the store, physical will be all you can get soon

Those blind boxes or blind anything for that matter won't ever give you a big return in profit. You can hope to break even but the company wont make money if each of those games will be worth more than what their blind games sell for. It is the same for sports card boxes.

I hate limited run games, first time I bought from them and my Turok 2 cartridge replica came packed diagonally with a huge bulge on the box. I had to unbox it which sucks.
