It might be tempting to regulate the movement, but I'd be inclined to put off opening the case until I'm eventually forced to. I'd love to see them do a _slightly_ downsized version (e.g. lug-to-lug=51mm, case=42-43mm,height=13.5-14mm) -- still a tank but easier to pull off for those with 6.5-7.4" wrist size. I really like this design, their QC seems to be quite good, and the value is really impressive here. I'm not sure that I can resist buying one, and if i do I'm sure I can find a new home for my Casio Duro (MDV-106). The Duro is great value too, but holy crap what an upgrade this would be. Personally I love the logo too. Hail Hydra everybody!

Actually I did buy it, and it didn't need regulation. This NH35 is my 1st mechanical movement and it's making a great impression.

Great review! Like the dynamic tone of your voice and the images are nice and clean. I’m gearing up to acquire the DLC coated white dial version b/c, like you, I feel the watch pops out better, regardless if the case angles are not showing as much. I like the stealth-like look of the DLC so I may be biased 😁 Thanks for sharing!

A great review FT, it looks good and pretty accurate with an interesting angular design. Awesome lume at a price that looks very hard to beat for this spec. Not a watch that hits my list as I already have a few divers and can't really justify another but if I was in the market I'd want to look more into this brand. It would be interesting to hear how she who must be obeyed pronounces the name.
