You should be careful though, if you poke the speaker hole too hard it might damage the insides, also don't use needle to poke it, use a paperclip instead like Vector.

Do not push too hard. It's very easy to accidentally punch through the tape with the paperclip.

Use electricians tape. It’s tougher and slightly stretchy so less prone to breaking. Also make sure you use a nice thick paper clip so it isn’t so sharp
