350$ for the phone, 100$+ for the Camera, new housing 80-100$ ,if you wouldn’t have a donor phone, broken front camera= no FaceID, which also makes it less worth, and screens are also like 300$ =850$ for that money you can get a used one without the annoying error messages and with Face ID

Did you still retain face ID? i've heard from other people that on the iphone 12 and higher, if you replace the screen face ID stops working, i've reapaired a couple iphone 12's, but with LCD, they dont get the cannot verify screen message and face ID still works

When you said that apple couldn’t determine whether or not the camera was genuine, it reminded me of when my iPhone 12 Pro randomly said that it could determine whether my battery was genuine and completely stopped working.. I never had my phone worked on, let alone my battery.. then when I got it replaced (after paying $560 since I didn’t have warranty, EVEN THO IT WAS NOT MY FAULT WHAT SO EVER!) The paint from the back of my phone started peeling and has the blue color of the regular 12, rather than the (somewhat) frosty texture of the 12 pro!

The missing connector has to do with whether the phone has the millimetre wave antenna on the right side of the phone or not, us phone typically have this, where as European phones do not

found one with broken back for 200, told the guy I'd give him 250 and got it. 12 aftermarket back glass and I got a phone for the next 4 years. Respect in fixing gear and not throwing away

super late here, but I have a theory on why some boards miss that connector. All 5G iPhones except the US model don’t have that extra 5G antenna. That might be why.
