Photo Breakdown: Jack Bark Winning the 2024 Catalina Classic

This photo got tons of love and I wanted to breakdown the details of how I got the shot. Jack Bark won the 32 mile paddleboard race from Catalina to Manhattan Beach, breaking the previous record set in 1999, and becoming the fastest person ever to paddle the channel in that race. At the finish line I captured this photo of Jack celebrating standing on his board through the finish line. Not an easy feat in itself on a prone paddleboard.
