Try Imagen AI and get 1500 free edits by visiting bit.ly/3i5Updw
This is the perfect time to get your photography business / workflows set up for success before you get busier during peak season and this is the must-have tool to get started on now.”
Imagen AI is an AI application and service that makes editing large collections of images fast and easy. You can upload your own sample images to build your "editing style" or choose from Imagen's many Talent AI profiles to get a look for your photographs. Imagen will upload your images, analyze them in minutes and you can download the AI adjustments into Lightroom. This is one of the most useful cases of AI that I've seen with any software. The quality is good and it saves you time.

so if I'm uploading a couple thousand photos of my work, is that all restricted to only being used for me (like my own personal database)? I've been hearing stories about artists work being scraped from the internet to go into these databases for AI and I'd like to avoid that type of thing happening where my work is being used for other's projects.
@ImagenAI

@@josephhawk1 What you are hearing stories about is completely unrelated to what we offer. With Imagen, your edit data is only used for our AI to create an AI editing profile for you to use. No one has access to use it without your permission. In fact, we do not have a profile sharing feature at all. We are working on one, that each customer controls themselves.

Oh wow, this somewhat reminded me of a comment a One Hour Photo Lab Technician once told me which was when Digital arrived many Photographers had to process their own images. When One Hour Labs developed the roll of film the Technicians had to then print the 4X6 making general decissions to make that 4X6 look good. Here we are two decades after, thank you Ted Forbes for all you share here in this great channel of yours!

Does Imagen-AI make use of my images elsewhere? if so, HOW? What images rights am I giving up when I upload 3000 images to their servers? I've tried to find the answer to that question without success. In fact, it's worse than that. What I found is AI image tools pillaging copyright from artists without recourse. So right now, without answers, this is not for me.

Looks very useful and I am actually very enthusiastic about AI art etc however I think it's quite a shortcoming not to mention what sort of arrangement you enter into when you upload your images to Imagen AI? Are they allowed to keep/use your images to train their own AI(s)? Are they allowed to sell on that data? Who profits from this? Will the photographers/creators see any benefit from this data collection?

This is amazing, BUT… one of the big problems with the explosion in AI tools recently has been the lack of any standards, regulations or IP law governing the use of images training AI algorithms. This has resulted in AI copying artists styles without their knowledge or consent - and even called into question whether work made by a human artist was indeed “real”. Something to think about as you upload your images to a service like this. They may be providing you an image editing service, but more than likely they are also using your images to train their AI, and you don’t necessarily know how that algorithm might be used in the future. We live in a time where corporations say one thing and do another, or where one company buys another company and decides to override the terms of service… The next thing you know maybe your images are getting used to train face recognition software for police databases or some other thing you might not have thought about and possibly don’t agree with.

Just a thought, could we imagine a day when in the "stay at home AI" application I will write in the field : eagle-Colorado-winter-golden light-mountain- aspen tree Click the button and boom the beautiful eagle there on my screen or the postman delivering the print I wonder where is the limit with AI.🤔 Probably we have our own limits but when I see that AI can create, a painting or a piece of music and probably a book I’m asking me do we still need humanity? For me photography it’s an experience and creativity on the field and creativity in post processing. …I imagine a wedding with a robot with the instructions: take a picture of everybody when they are smiling… Maybe but when this robot will exist is wedding will still exist? 😀 It was just thoughts of a man getting old surrounded by books of poetry and sacred music, looking up at a cloudy sky where his thoughts are lost... Yes where are the limits…?

@bruce-le-smith
@bruce-le-smith Жыл бұрын
😅tldr: agreed! Agreed, so many people want a "small" percentage of my paycheque each month, but there's only so many times I can slice that pie into smaller pieces... Too many things are leased now instead of bought. So this still appears to be a tool for professional photographers, who would pass administration time and service fee costs onto their clients. I do get that the data centres powering these AI tools are expensive to operate (leases, energy, equipment, maintenance, staff, professional services, etc.), and the company's R&D time is a cost that needs to be recuperated, and that's why there's a fee per image. But I totally agree that asking customers to manage one more profile with linked charge card information is a headache. That was the nice thing about a one-time purchase and a perpetual license for a specific version of an application - At least you could save up, buy it, and then run it as long as you could to get your money's worth (and more) out of it. I wish digital companies would bring that incentive back: Being able to pay a one time fee and then use a tool so much that it made you money instead of just costing you money. Like buying a 'nice piece of glass' and using it for years. Perhaps the outsourced editing community will just incorporate this tool into their workflows, and hopefully lower their prices? For example: if they could charge 1 hour of time, and do the bulk of the work with a tool like this in 15 minutes, then they could increase their turn-around time and still be making money. And photographers might accept the cost of 1 hour or professional editing because they could continue to focus on real world photography?

@@ImagenAI hi beautiful people from imagen! Impressive! But isn't cropping a total different creative endeavor than color and general exposure? I mean, cropping is basically composing (leading lines, placement of dark/bright etc etc). How right could it be ?? I could understand that when it comes to known subjects, like human faces, that it might choose to accentuate these through cropping (zooming) in. Anyways you got me very intrigued, and I'll check it out!

Ted’s great and all, but let’s think this through a minute. You upload YOUR photos, that you have edited in YOUR unique way, to a program that’s whole job is to learn how people edit their photos. You’re volunteering to train (and potentially pay) the algorithm that will put you out of the job, all the while using your own unique content to do so. The AI transformation is inevitable; there’s no doubting that. Still, why contribute to your art’s demise?

So... I should contribute with my style of editing, along hundreds of other professionals, so that in the future an AI algorithm sell a pack with the most used editing styles and everyone looks like everyone so that casual photographers, phone users and others alike shoot randomly and get awesome photos already edited. And I should pay to input data to the algorithm. And loose future revenues. And someone supports this...
