I couldn't imagine not retouching without my XP-Pen Deco Pro A4 sized tablet. I find it such a natural way to use all the tools as soon as Photoshop is up out comes the pen. I did start with an A6 tablet and that was great but the fine movement you get with a larger tablet is just brilliant for cloning and retouching.

I purchased the 32” Cintiq Touch (DTH3220) in March 2019. I previously owned the 24” and loved using it for the ten years I had it. Tragically after six months with the new 32” Cintiq, I started to see what looked like pixelation or fixed pattern noise that covered about 1/3 of the screen. I sent the display to Wacom and pleaded with them to replace it. Instead I was told they would repair it with a “refurbished display”. Needless to say I was not impressed with my brand new display getting a used part. Fast forward to April 2021 and I have again sent my display back to Wacom for the exact same issue! So, buyer beware…

Thank you so much! I searched this answer so much and I only found this video is helpful to me. Your voice is cool too!

Great examples, but also great that you do not mention the Cintiq Pro Fan Noise. This is something they love to hide. Yet one Quick Google and it pops up everywhere. FANS are not PWM so all you have is Low and AUTO. Also the Screen is noisy meaning if you are close up on this you will hear Fan-noise and have a Cristal-like screen. Other then That the Quality is great, but I only recommend this to people who can get the Stand as well. Enjoy life! cya!

A few years ago I was thinking of getting the cintiq for photo editing and I couldn’t find any videos telling how well that worked. Now I’m seeing this video. My question is, would it more ideal to have this plugged into a tower or an iMac. I was wondering if it were plugged into an iMac if it would almost power starve it?

how do you feel about the resolution of the monitor of the Cintiq pro 24, do you feel like you needed another monitor to check the color and resolution or was that just complimenting the Cintiq itself?

One of the most confusing things in the world to me with photo kit is how everyone treats Wacom as the ONLY choice for a tablet. I've had a Huion H610 Pro V2 since November 2019, and to this day there is absolutely nothing at all I could want more in a tablet with high end retouching or even 3D modeling. In the past, Huion buttons could only have one set of commands across all applications, but in the current driver you can toggle between applications you're setting up for with the gear icon in the upper right corner, meaning different button actions for different applications. It's a fraction of the price of a Wacom, and Huion pen nibs don't eat up like Wacom. I have never replaced a pen nib on the Huion even though I have plenty on-hand. I did have to replace the pen ONCE, but it was super cheap and quite awhile ago. Nothing since. I've also heard a ton of horror stories about Wacom driver problems. It's unfortunate that marketing pressure has almost everyone spending hundreds of dollars on a tablet when in this case you do NOT always get what you pay for.

longliveclassicmusic : The quality of tablets like the Huion and others has become a lot better in very recent years. Before that, those brands were known for being trash. You could find youtube videos where people took them apart and showed how they looked almost handmade on the inside, with plastic parts, and tape holding stuff together. Also, there was concern about support. So yeah, nowadays they are a lot better while the Wacom might still be the best available. Regarding problems with drivers, I agree. I've been using various Wacom products since around 2000 and there's never been a time when I didn't have some kind of driver problems, but the machines I've had are built to last forever. I still have an original Wacom Intuos GD circa 2000. Wacom continued to support it with drivers forever. It's still working. As for nibs, they're cheap and disposable so. One nib lasts me forever. There's a very soft one that you can use that wears down very quickly but the hard plastic ones don't. As for the cost, Wacom is definitely expensive, but My first Cintiq, the original 22HD, not the version currently selling, is still working perfectly. After I used it for some years, I gave it to my son who is also an artist and he is still using it daily. I currently have a 27QHD which also works flawlessly. I think I've had it for at least 5 years. People are getting the point now that the competition is good enough. Wacom probably is still offering something more, but the price is a whole lot more. On the other hand, if you keep it for a long time then you'll get your money's worth out of it. I expect to have my current Cintiq for 10 years before thinking about buying something else. It cost me around 3 grand. It's probably not a machine aimed at hobbyists. I wonder if I'll get a Huion when I finally do get a new one. I definitely like the Wacom EK Remote. I'm not interested in touch screens so that's not an issue for me.

Thanks for the tip, just ordered the HS610 and the price is fantastic. Reviews on YT were good so a no brainer as it's cheaper than a good mouse!

Great examples of using both types of tablets. I have the smaller pro and it's incomparable to using a mouse.

Hey can you please make a video of apple produkt photography (iphone, Macbook and so on). I think people would find this interesting. I have not found a video of just a produkt photography of apple product with just a simple phone no advanced camera and lighting😀
@longliveclassicmusic3 жыл бұрын
B&H is a top 2 major retailer of professional media equipment. Professional. Not delusional prosumer. Commercial professionals use "advanced camera and lighting," not a phone, for COMMERCIAL work. There are literally THOUSANDS of other channels on KZbin that make videos about mainstream Apple tech products.

Has this guy never heard of an iPad? You'd think that there'd be at least some comparison in this video.
@longliveclassicmusic3 жыл бұрын
Have YOU never heard of PROFESSIONAL photography? Commercial photographers do NOT retouch on iPads. If you don't have any idea why, you're not qualified to make decisions about what B&H-a top 2 retailer of PROFESSIONAL photo and video equipment-posts on KZbin. Wacom is considered by 98% of the industry to be the only option for post-production. I personally use a Huion tablet, but an iPad isn't an option for this type of work. Period.

@Grow Media DDT. No, there's more to it than that. In big business, not only do you need to produce the dope image, but you also need to do it quickly enough that it's worth it to bother doing it. So it's not just the result that matters. Some tools are built for serious productivity, Clip Studio, Photoshop, etc. And other tools are not, iPads, Procreate, etc. You can achieve amazing results on everything, but not in the same time frame. If you look at the kind of editing being done in the video above, you're not going to do that with any software on the iPad, or with the iPad itself. Not while being profitable. I used to do similar work back in the early 2000's. I was freelancing, doing jewelry for catalogs and we had to make all of the jewelry look amazing the same way these editors are trying to make a hamburger look delicious. Photoshop was the weapon of choice and it was definitely qualified to do it. Today, Photoshop is STILL the weapon of choice and there's still nothing else worth bothering with for that kind of work, and lots of other work too.
