A few years ago I swiped some oxide inks over photo paper. I let it dry and then buffed the top. The colors left were so beautiful and vibrant. Fun technique.

Loved this idea! QUESTION: it looks like you have a glass mat, why do you use the craft mat? Can’t it just go on the glass? 😊

It can but the inks behave VASTLY differently on glass than on a craft mat. Try side by side and you'll see what I mean.

I’ve been listening to greeting card podcasts and someone mentioned mailing an alcohol ink card and it was sticky when the person received it. Have you tried mailing(in the summer) to a hot part of the country? I’m asking because I want to make some cards as gifts and would have to mail across the country, plus idk what they would do with them. I just wonder if the emulsion would sweat. Thanks

Hmm I've never heard of that, however, less is more with alcohol ink - this is a very thin layer - but when you have multiple thick layers they can stay sticky where they overlap. My answer to that is to rub gold leaf flakes on those parts.
