Yes, I should have made that more clear. I'm in Texas and it gets close to straight overhead after midnight. So it should get reasonably high in the sky everywhere in the northern hemisphere.

The name of the constellation indicates it's in the northern sky - borealis = northern, ant. australis.

That was the prediction. But it struck me as the kind of thing where it could be plus or minus a few weeks. Of course, if it doesn't end up going nova... that would be disappointing.
