I am happy to be back home in the UK and enjoying some landscape photography in autumn, one of the best times of the year for photography. In this video I photograph the lake district national park and experience beautiful afternoon light and morning mist. Enjoy.

After quite a lot of (stunning) "far from home" adventures it is really inspiring to watch a close to home photography experience again. I often struggle with inspiration after coming back from a trip to a great location. Watching this video just reminds me what it's all about: just relaxt, enjoy and keep it simple. If you've got nothing today, don't worry about it because you can just go back in a couple of days if you want. That's what makes shooting local a unique experience compared to those "once in a lifetime" locations. Thanks for the reminder!

Hi Thomas, It's this type of video from you that got me hooked on Landscape photography specifically and getting back outdoors in general. Effortlessly inspirational. I do appreciate the content you provide from your workshops etc and fully understand that's where you make your a big part of your living but this is quality content and you do it so well. Maybe it's that they seem more relateable for people like myself. Showing us what you see in places we can easily go, inspires us to look at the scenery in different ways and seek out the 'non glaringly obvious compositions'. Whatever it is, this content is what I followed and continue to follow you for. Long may it continue, don't burn yourself out and thanks.

They well may be my favourite images on one of your videos. Made me think about the different ways of looking at the landscape and realising it doesn't have to be wide angle just because it's landscape. And best of all, makes me want to get out there!

I love the videos you shoot in the UK. Especially Autumn/Winter. I have read a lot of the comments and they say the same. I think I've figured out why these are so popular. Those of us who go out and take photos often do it alone and watching you do it makes us feel... not alone. Combining this feeling with the familiar, serene music you choose for these videos generates a sense of nostalgia. Today I returned from a 4 day trip to the Lakes, on my own, with the sole intention of shooting landscapes. Knowing that you, and others like you, are out there too makes the loneliness go away. Cheers man. Don't stop! I would never have been there this week if it wasn't for your videos.

Alright Mr. Thomas, you made me had to comment to you on this video. You are doing a very good job. Remember that we are all one and we are part of nature. There are times that it will be very productive, abundance, massive action and so on. And there will be times that we must return in the zone of patience, which is the balance. Stay in the present moment as much as possible and focus on the good things around you. Remember, “little is more”. May you receive abundant love, joy, happiness and blessings. Take good care 😌

Beautiful video as always! Interesting how at the 7:00 minute segment you chose the close crop of the 3 trees and not the panoramic “trees, reflection, mist and golden fell” version that was what I thought you’d found at first. Not doubting your judgment of course, you have an amazing eye for the captivating image in the details of the scene!

You know, I'd have been very jealous of this video if I hadn't been out this afternoon myself taking pictures on Bodmin moor finding a fortuitous rainbow to add drama, but yet grateful to be out there in the crisp autumn light, then trudging back to my car and seeing the local farmer preparing to shepherd his ship into the back of his van. Great isn't it.

Hey Thomas, I love how you make videos about going out with an area in mind, but you’ve got to explore to find a good composition. In this video you mention frustration over having a beautiful scene but that you struggle to find a composition. Do you think you’d be able capture that thought process somehow? Maybe show potential compositions that you reject and why? Thanks!
