I nearly took a pheasant out in the car this morning it just stood there trapped in the headlights luck enough just to go around then on the way home a red kite came down onto the road missed that as well ! I must try this baiting technique my friend Alan has some awesome shots of a buzzard from his hide. Four days and a night might just keep driving around! Might hit something, well done Simon Merry Christmas to you too! 😍
@simoneardley4 жыл бұрын
Yeh, due to how cautious they are its the best way to get them down really. As long as they dont become reliant on your bait I don't see an issue with it. Even when you bait they can be difficult to capture an image of them sometimes. All the best 👍🏼☃️🎄

Simon you have been producing some fantastic images and blogs recently , credit to all the hard work you put in I had planned to set up a feeding station like yours and failed miserably. Would be interested in knowing how you went about feeding and how long it took to get them comfortable at the site. Did you open up the pheasants first or let the buzzards do it Keep them coming
@simoneardley4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Max, kind words. It didn't take long to be honest, also they like a good sized perch. I think it would help your set up, also you can secure your bait to it. Try a trailcam, theyre invaluable!! I always put the pheasant upside down so that the lightness of the underwing is on display. Best of luck.👍🏼📷 I wouldnt say theyre completely comfortable, they are a very wary bird.

Hi Simon have just come across your great videos and am currently working through the whole lot - just want to ask you what dimensions of the camo scrim net are ideal for covering me, bag and camera/lens and as a camo for the Monal V2 hide? Appreciate your advise Cheers Colin from Sydney Australia.
@simoneardley4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Colin, welcome to the channel. The camo net I use is 3m x 3m but i think i could do with one a bit larger. Tragopan do some great camo nets, but not sure if you could get them over in Oz.

@@simoneardley Thanks Simon for the response - I am looking at the Camo net Autumn understorey 3x6m but not sure how to use it to cover the Monal 2 and still be able to use the shooting windows - there are no cutouts in the Camo Net and if I create cut outs it will reduce the camouflage when using the net as a stand alone blind - would welcome your thoughts and ideas.
