When takin a shot under similar conditions as shown in the video, I recommend to use the 2s timer on the camera. This will allow the cam to come to a still position after 'shaking" by pushing the shutter. This is valid when remote control is not available or present. When using remote control, timer would not be needed

That's a good point. Thank you for mentioning!

Have a question about Manual mode exposure setting. Why not use the Aperture priority? That way, we will have the same depth of field in all shots. What exposures we will be getting when we do AEB with Manual mode? I always use Aperture priority mode when doing AEB bracketing, especially for HDR photography. Thanks!

Hi Gene! Good question. The Aperture Priority mode definitely work as well. It is just Manual shooting mode may give a user better or easier access to controls in certain situations or when using certain camera models. In many recent cameras, it is also just the aperture that changes when auto-bracketing in Manual shooting mode.

how to Set the focus on camera to get all interior in focus should i use single point or what
@PhotomatixHDR
@PhotomatixHDR 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I would set the camera to a single point or a single small area. Each camera is a little different in this regard. In the video, at 5:49 I used Single Point, but in Live View, the camera displays it as a rectangle. - Move the area/point to a feature that's in the foreground to the middle ground. This depends on the depth of the interior. - Now Focus once, by half-pressing the shutter button and switch AF off, so that the focus doesn't change again when taking all the photos. It is important to keep the aperture at F11, some photographers even use F16. This in turn depends on the lens you are using. Do a bit of testing to find the best value.

@@PhotomatixHDR thank you so much What about 10-18mm lens for Canon is it good for interior or need a differnet focal lens

@@DaliaPhotographer On an APS-C camera, this zoom lens would be sufficient for the beginning. On a full-frame camera, it would be too wide, for my taste, or you most likely only use the higher end of its zoom range (14-18mm). In any case, be aware of sloping verticals when tilting up or down the camera. For exteriors, you might need a second wide-angle lens, one from 24-35mm if your camera has a full-frame sensor.

Why does it need to be at 400ISO? Why can't it be 100?
@PhotomatixHDR
@PhotomatixHDR 3 жыл бұрын
You can choose ISO 100 as well. With older camera models that is even better because it reduces sensor noise. However, I chose ISO 400 because it kept the longest shutter speed at 2 seconds (@F11). This helps to complete the burst of photos in a short amount of time. Anything longer than that would increase the risk of light change or movements outside.

so would 3 photos still work or 5?
@PhotomatixHDR
@PhotomatixHDR 3 жыл бұрын
Hello ERR, rooms with bright windows usually require 5 or more bracketed shots at 2EV. So, 5 bracketed shots would be better if your camera allows taking more than 3.

Should probably use a remote shutter control.
