Thanks Yes I leave them up a bit longer these days, was "overly brief" with my editing in this video!

Despite the light the footage is great. Definitely thought there was something it was missing with all that probing - could be a crayfish tactic. Crazy poise, love Bitterns, stealthy to the max. Excellent as always. Si.

Wow that's some special footage of the bittern. We have them here in nz but I've never seen one

Thanks. Was great to see them I gather like many of your native bird species they are quite rare due to introduced predators :(

@@ukwildlife yup they sure are. It's pretty sad. But places like tiritiri matangi are just amazing when you visit. Offshore islands they've cleared the predators from
