Amazing image with such wonderful detail and colours of both the Milky Way and Stonehenge. I'm showing my age here but when I was a kid and visited Stonehenge, we could walk right inside it (and probably shamefully, on some parts of it).

@Alyn. Greetings from Texas. Skies been rainy for a while lately. Waiting for my son’s graduation ceremony. To take a trip to Arizona by way of New Mexico. To get great shots of the dark desert skies. My plants and I are too waterlogged. Need a good week of clear skies and warmer weather.

Stunning work, Alyn. It is amazing how the highlights control and the understanding of the consequences of ISO invariance was a game changing for me. I was happy when your video about ISO invariance was released and the how we see the same way about the protection of the highlights. I did understand if you tracked longer and steached shots of the same portion of milky way separately and then made a panorama or if you performed longer exposure of each part once and then just made a panorama.

Lovely shot Alyn and good to have you back, I live not too far from Stonehenge and was thinking about trying there for my 2nd MSM star tracker shoot but the May weather was dreadful. I did wonder about the amount of light pollution there and I only have a 15-35mm f/2.8 and no filter like you have so maybe one for if I get a faster lens.
@CosmuzzAstro3 жыл бұрын
Nice video mate! I used to live very near to Stonehenge for a few years. I'm wanting to get out to a little spot I like near High force to try get a Milky Way shot, if the weather clears up soon. Love the image!

Its not possible to get all the best pictures in such a short space of time, even though you captured great content on this occasion. If it were easy then astrophotography would be a bit boring. Both you and Richard Tatti have restored my childhood passion for astronomy and in later life, astrophotography. ATB and keep up the good work. Damian.
