Oh Meg, I love to see you in these videos. My girl is with me most often when I am out in the woods with my camera too. Simon, lovely way to think as you look for compositions that are complicated. They all come out on their own times done’t they… The last image of the little waterfalls, stream and Oaks, is quite complicated for sure. The thing about it, is each part of the complicated scene is appears as it’s only little story that makes up an epic tale. I really loved that one. The face in the tree (no names, I suck at naming images so I number them) is another great way of looking at nature and I can’t wait for you to find more ways to capture that face in the oaks. Cheers, Rob

I remember that we used to search for faces in trees in my childhood. Unfortunately I don‘t live in an area with acient trees. This is so much fun that you share your „expeditions“ with us. The new finding reminds me a little bit of „Casper“ 😊.

How funny that you said you are having a hard time coming up with a title...I was just telling my wife some of the epic names you come up with. Me? I come up with Mt St Helens and Moon, LOL. I've tried and I just do not have that creative gene. On a serious note: your talent for woodland photography is second to none! Your ability to find a composition in what seems like endless chaos is truly inspirational. Keep up the great work.

I enjoyed seeing your beautiful, athletic, obviously well-trained dog jump over the fence in the very beginning of this video. So beautiful! I haven't seen the rest yet; but the title is very intriguing. I'll continue watching now. 😄 Wow! The first tree you showed, after the fish tree, was quite remarkable. If I hadn't found faces as realistic as that one in my own photos, I might be tempted to accuse you of Photoshopping it; but I do believe you caught what we see in this video. You've just inspired me to create my own personal series for my favorite tree. It's an amazing, old, sprawling tree with branches that reach the ground.

Very nice. Simon. Manoak would be a good name. It’s funny that we were discussing faces in trees the other night. About two years ago I pulled into a car park in the local town and as I pulled into the bay I saw a tree that had started to grow around the railings of the car park. Two small branched had been cut away and it was the perfect face! Pity I did not get my camera back for another month from being repaired and I forgot all about until I saw your video. I must go and see how it’s doing!! Great video thank you Simon, loved Meg having a ball in the woods. Stay safe, Graham

You found some fantastic examples of tree faces!! 😎 I had no idea the ability to see faces in objects or nature was once seen as a sign of psychosis... oh, that's a horrific thought!😔 I'm really enjoying your photography... I live in a city and love city life, but I do have some chances of getting close to nature at times and have often photographed funny or strange faces in trees. One time I saw a skull shape embedded into the rock of a stairway on a large hill in a Victorian cemetery. I didn't see it when I took the photo, it only revealed itself when I was looking at the images after. Once you've seen it... you can't unsee it!!😅 Thanks so much for all your thoughtfulness in all of your videos Simon, they are really excellent and a great source of inspiration and encouragement. My photography and poetry creativeness has been seriously dented recently. I find your ability to continue with a creative mind and enjoy long walks in the countryside despite your own physical setbacks at times and also other distracting events going on in the world very admirable! 👏

Great set of images Simon and really like how you deal with the conditions. I tend to obsess over bright spots from the sky showing through the canopy but great to see how you can use it to enhance your images like 'Forest Bathing' which is fantastic - that face is so obvious😬. As for a name for your new tree face - he looks like he's looking out from the calf of the bent leg of the main tree - he doesn't look as noble as an Achilles but other leg parts like Soleus, 'Nemius or Plantaris might work - but to be honest Mr Gummy is probably better :)

🇨🇦/🇺🇸... Hey there, Henry. I see faces everywhere. A great place is in stucco/textured ceilings. But as far as trees, you can imagine just how much this plays on childrens' minds as they start to become old enough to walk into the woods themselves. Who needs big, bad wolves to be scared of! 😉The phenomenon is featured in SO many movies and in folklore. Cheers, bro!

Faces in trees are lost spiritual souls, searching for their loved ones. There are millions & millions of them in trees. They have not gone to Heaven. They have not gone to Hell. They are 'stranded' on Earth, wanting loved ones to recognise them. They are not only in Trees. If you look closely they are in lots of other places - on Wallpaper, on Clothing, on Material prints, on Artists paintings. They were not 'Spiritual' living on Earth & they become 'Earthbound' after their passing.
