Aw this was so nice to sit and watch. Those baby ones are too cute for words! Never had a really good look at a water vole but would love the chance to get alongside a suitable waterway and just sit and enjoy the riverbank and whatever it holds. Great video and thanks for sharing.

Another great video. Again I liked all your images and footage of the water voles. My favourite images were of the water voles at 7:11 & 7:20 (voles submerging their heads from dark places). Excellent exposure on the voles. Well done. Looking forward to your next video.

Thanks for sharing your video of the Water Voles. You've taken some really great footage and stills. I'm seriously thinking about getting the OM-1 as a Wildlife Hybrid Camera. I'm not sure weather to get the 300 f4 or the 100-400 for the extra reach. I will definitely get the 40-150 f2.8 as thats an excellent fast lens. I'm fed up with carying my heavy Canon gear around.

Thanks Martin, that's lovely of you to say! I can highly recommend the OM-1, I'm a big fan of it - the autofocus is a huge step up from previous Olympus cameras. 40-150mm is a great lens, and I would say the 300mm is my go to, incredibly sharp and veru handholdable for the reach it offers. I've never used the oly 100-400mm but I hear good things when paired with the om-1, obviously not as "fast" as the 300mm but depends on what your planning on using it for 👍

@@marchumphreyphotography Thanks for your fast reply. I think thats convinced me to go ahead and get the OM-1. I presumed you had the Olympus 100-400 as you have quite a lot of zooming in, on your video clips, you must have been using the 40-150mm Lens or doing it in post. I tend to shoot everything in 4K 60, how do you find the 4K 60p compared to 4K 30. I keep reading that4K 60 is much softer. Is this what you are seeing? One thing I've noticed, the greens in the Still images, seem to be over saturated compared to the natural colours of the Video clips and also your bloggng camera. I've noticed the over saturated greens in other peoples Stills so I think thats a charactoristic of the OM-1. Keep making your great videos.
