One of my favourite things about watching Lord of the Rings is the natural beauty, the moss, the walking trees, the elvish kingdom and architecture. I'm pretty sensitive to violence so I find the monsters and the fighting a little scary but the scenery is so worth being inspired by. I am grateful to find your channel through Sean Tucker and the video you were in on his channel. I am grateful I can watch your footage minus the scary monsters. :) You have another subscriber...thanks for what you do. Have you ever heard of Arbutus Trees? They are amazing and look like natural sculptures as they grow sideways and twist and turn and they grow here on the Westcoast of Canada and I am in love with them. They are what I love to paint most.

Great evocative video Simon and the Hans Zimmer like music works well too! Like you, movies have always inspired my photography, particularly in my wedding photography using motion blur etc and dramatic lighting etc. For woodland/forests I’d recommend ‘The Revenant’ (one of my all time favourite films) for its stunning cinematography and atmospheric visual effects. Brilliant from a sonic point of view too! Cheers Nigel

Hi Simon Came over to your channel from Nigel D’s suggestion. Lovely mellow vlog and the Ent theme was very inspirational, how’s about watching Braveheart for North York’s moors inspiration, the heather on those moors would be similar to the ones in Scotland 🏴 and the colours would invoke images of William Wallace and his war paint
