What i really like is Mike's enthusiasm and real conditions, work in the field, communication with people, interaction with the environment, and somehow he has enough time to make thrilling tutorials :) . Mike, you remind me a wildlife explorer on National Geographic, but in the world of photography. You show the essentials, discover the mysteries of photography together with the viewer while keeping it simple. This is really amazing skill. I absolutely like your style!

Seriously come on people, 27,019 views and only 509 thumbs up? Are you for real, help get Mike's video's at the top of the search and on KZbin's front page. Click the damn thumb.. :D Cheers mike, I'm doing a second re-run view of all your video's. I'd click a thumb up again if I could. You have absolutely no idea just how much you've helped me. So thank you so much. I have been stuck in auto for a couple of years, even though I have read countless books and watched countless video's I just couldn't grasp it. But now with your help I shoot in manual whenever I need to and with confidence and I end up with images I'm so proud of. All in the space of six months of watching your video's. No longer do I spray and pray, I now take one or two shots and usually get what I'm after. I go out with an idea of what I'd like to achieve and come home really happy. In fact it's given me a new lease on life. I'm so excited to get out there now. Thank yo uso much.

Hi Mike Browne, Just encountered your channel on KZbin and have become addicted to watching your very informative and entertaining video tutorias. This one in particular, I learnt so much - you have a wonderful knack of de-mystifying the 'trade secrets' in a way that us mere beginners can understand. Single-handedly you have managed to reignite the embers of my dwindling photography career. The BBQ shot was just magical. I feel inspired to get out there & be the best photographer I can be - shame it's January & not exactly the time of year to visit a caravan park! Would welcome more videos like this. On and yes Happy New Year to all!

Thank you Mark Day I'm delighted to have helped. To be honest there are other possibly more exciting things to photograph than caravan sites but it's great to know what i was doing has helped. Please help me make more videos by sharing them on forums etc with other photographers.

A superb explanation, just at the right time. I am on holiday at the Lake Garda and the renter of my holiday apartment asked me, if I could take some pictures of his rooms and also some pitures of the outside, because he wants to show it all in the internet. He saw me taking pictures and thought, I could do this job for him. I´m glad, that I have such a good example to do this job. Thank you very much. (Sorry, my english is not so perfect, but I hope you understand what I want to say ;-) )

Mike, your lessons are far the best on the net. First, your english is easy to understand even for us non-english speakers, second, you have this "open", very "natural" aproach (I'm not reffering on 23:24 in this clip :-)) incl. jokes, side comments etc. what makes lessons even more apealling and third and most important, you always focus on the essence and goes from basic to complex stuff. I'm semi-professional photographer, but I still find your clips very inspiring. Thanks.

Mike Browne I'm academically trained artist. Photography is my passion and a way to earn some extra money. But, truth is, in every field of creative expression you cannot but learn all the time. I'm also giving lessons on art and photography and I really think your aproach to materia is how a good lessons should be: simple to understand, but complex knowledge behind (well, you can't tell thinks simple way if you're not really deeply familiar with the subject, can you?) Not many people can do that.

You have a quality of delivering the technical information in such a non technical manner that even a novice photographer can understand with no trouble at all. Hi dave andrade I had a chat with the designer who made their website and literature so i knew what he wanted then spent half an hour with Michael the manager going round the site to see the areas they wanted shots of (bits of that are at the beginning of the vid. Then I plan the shoot according to where the sun will be for best light and shoot it. Process the images and deliver the files. I don't set a specific number of shots, just find out what they want and only shoot those things. Here's the website with the images - www.thelookoutholidaypark.co.uk/

Mike, another great video. Talking about right lighting, had you considered shooting inside the caravan late in the day?
@MikeBrowne11 жыл бұрын
Yes James K but didn't want slanting direct sunlight coming through the windows putting highlights all over the place. I could have balanced it with Bowens lights but as there was lots to shoot and they'd only booked me for one day there wouldn't be time. Also I wanted to keep the low sunlight at the end of the day for exterior shots.

Good video... using a "naughty" super wide angle lens in several shots. Btw, estate agents are not allowed to use those lenses because of the effect they give, which can lead to misrepresentation of the properties they advertise. Perhaps that rule has not yet been implemented in rented/holiday properties. Learning more on photography from your videos as ever. Thank you Mike.

Hmm never heard of that rule BobToms100 but it makes sense.
