Unmarked cars arent allowed to do traffic stops. You can legally keep going until a marked car gets behind you. Ive done it. They didnt add any other charges either. Just the original "no turn signals" stop. Just some tasty info for ya. Great vid

Untrue. Unmarked vehicles CAN pull you over. They have the same power and authority as a marked one. The only difference is, you can choose not to pull over until you have called the police department and made confirmation that the unmarked pulling you over is actually an officer. You cannot be penalized for that, as you are legally just checking your safety.

Hmm, interesting that police asks you to turn your Gopro off. In many countries police is an employee of the public, thus you have a right to record them and publish the video with their faces showing. Hint (I am 100% sure you already know) : turn off the solid/red light on the camera so it looks like it is not recording. I am sure you have at least 2 cameras on you. So have one blink, the other not blink, then turn the blinking one off if asked.

They asked him to turn it off because they were going to be cool and let him go chances are it is against department policy for them to have let him off with a warning and they didnt want anything that could come back and bite them in the ass for being nice to be recorded, yea he can 100% record them all he wanted and could have even told them that no he wasnt going to turn the camera off but then they would have gone the same way and he would have ended up going to jail or walking home because his bike got impounded for doing wheelies on public roads and public property. Point is just because you can record them doesnt mean you should push that route if they have you caught for at the minimum reckless driving and are being cool with you.

Cool cops? Hell no! Just because they're polite while violating your rights doesn't make 'em cool. You were being harassed and you took it like a bitch. I know it can be scary standing up for yourself but you gotta learn. *Never* turn your camera off. *Always* ask what the reason for the stop is.

The wheelie was the reason for the stop which is a $1200 ticket. I know my rights homie I choose to be polite and comply with his request and didn’t get a ticket. I’m good with that. Could I have said no, sure, could he have given me the ticket, yup. You watch too much KZbin learn how to deal with people and you’ll have an easier life 🤘

@@Photogromer Don't get me wrong. You can be both polite and not tolerate cops running all over you. These are not mutually exclusive. Especially that 2nd cop who had absolutely no reason to detain you or ask you for any ID. The proper response is, "Sure, I can get that for you. What's the nature of this stop please?" and then wait for an answer before producing the ID.

Didn’t give the second cop my ID at any point. First cop had a reason for stop plus the ability to write me so I’m happy with how I handled the stop, plus dozens of other police encounters in the past, including multiple times police choppers were involved. What works for me might not work for you. That’s cool but out of all the times I’ve been pulled over for doing ticket-able offenses I haven’t been written once. And yes the first cop was cool and not harassing me. Literally popped a wheelie in front of him among a bunch of other stuff before that. Second cop, I have no idea what he was doing but he went away as soon as I told him I was already pulled over. Too many riders I see get defensive af when dealing with cops and help escalate a situation that can easily be deescalated with respect and politeness and owning up to your mistakes, they deal with bullshit all day, I might be a refreshing exception to their day and help bridge the gap between cops and riders with a little respect ✊
