Hi, If the iron was not hot enough and you have't ironed for long enough, the image might break as it isn't embedded in the fabric enough. The last stage uses silicon paper or printer paper (non coated) to push the image into the fabric further. Do not skip this stage. Thanks for the comment!

The most common issues we come across are to do with the iron not hot enough and / or not applied for the correct amount of time. Take extra care in checking the temperature, apply pressure during the ironing stage and iron for long enough. I hope this helps!

Hi, In a similar manner. I suggest you print on a normal paper first to check that the mirrored text makes sense before printing on the transfer paper. Print on a normal paper and check, as depending on a method you choose, it can make the reversed text clear or not (i.e. using software like MS Word vs. printer settings in which quality varies). Hi, first and foremost durability will depend on the quality of the transfer, mainly paying attention to the correct time and pressure. To improve the durability after the transfer, wash the fabric only after turning it inside out so the transfer does not rub against the machine or other fabrics. Hi, thanks to this video I decided to buy ppd transfer paper and received it today and made some test... printed a 3" x 3" image in high quality setting in epson L300 and pressed it for 40 seconds with iron on a flat surface. The result is great, I get a matt finish when peeling cold, even when the instructions said that peeling the paper when it's cold, could leave a shinny finish, it's ok for me. However when using the silicon paper to fix the image for about 6 to 10 seconds, it leaves the images glossy and some of the ink adhere to it. Am I doing something wrong in the fixing process?

Hi, the key for durable transfer is 1. enough heat (switch on your iron and allow to heat up to full temperature for 4 minutes) 2. strong pressure (iron on a solid table) 3. suitable iron duration (rough time indication should be A4 - 3 minutes, A5 90 seconds, A6 - 45 seconds). Read this first!!!! Don't use a chopping board! Unless new greese, fat or what ever is on a chopping prior to use will transfer to your fabric. It will stain the back of the shirt.

This is helpful and will use for future projects, BUT, I have an image on a white t-shirt that I want to duplicate exactly and transfer to other t-shirts. The image is 14 1/2 in. W x 21 in. H. There is no break in the image allowing me to use 2 - 11 x 17 transfer papers, so it looks like I'll need to get this professionally done. Also, my printer won't print 11 x 17. Hi, the plain paper must be pilled hot. If you let it cool down it might adhere. Silicon paper can be pilled hot or cold, which is why it's the better option. Try warming the plain paper, it should lift easily. Thanks for the comment.

I've never known how to actually centre the image. With this image it doesn't matter too much, but with things like boxes and big text, centering it is absolutely vital. How does one get it done so accurately?

A good tip is to make your design and print on same size copy paper to make sure the design is where you want it, before printing on the more expensive transfer paper. How to centre the image will depend on the software you're using, but it must be an option. MS Word is useful for preparing designs with text, it also features a built-in option to centre the image (as well as the important 'mirror' text function). I hope this helps a little. Hi, thanks for the reply. What I actually meant is when you place the paper on the t-shirt, how do you get it on the centre of the t-shirt? It's very hard to lie the t-shirt flat out so it can be measured. How does one know how high/low to place an image - how to centre it and how to ensure it's straight and not lopsided in anyway. Even 1 or 2 millimeters can be detected.
