So usually PPR is done on eyes open or eyes cloure?

Some labs. do it only with eyes closed, while others do it with eyes open and then eyes closed.

While doing ps, the patient should be in awake or sleep stage??

IPS is done while the patient is awake.

If u see evidence of PPR significantly, stop continuing PS...it may induce clinical seizures.
