Photorealism ARTIST takes COLOR IQ TEST!

As a Photorealism and Hyperrealism artist, I deal with color all the time in order to create a realistic effect in my drawings, I was always curious, how would I do in a color blind test and a color IQ test.

What i think of colors 5 years when im now intermidiate Draw what you see dont color what you think you see like an apple in a table a normal person can only see red but a intermidiate artist can see more than just red like theres a yellow color a little bit of green

Oh my god. I'm partially color blind, but trying so hard to do colourful drawings. You inspired me a lot. So far I can draw only with graphite and charcoal

I picked all the same as you . Had to pause the vid a few times but really happy. Tone is probably the most important part of painting realistic art and I doubt myself all the time. This makes me more confident. Thanks for sharing these tests! and thanks for your amazing videos. Let me make it clear, I may have done well in the test but no way can I draw/paint like you!!!

Haha did you calibrate your screen? as with out doing this it can make it very hard to complete the test and get accurate results 😊😊

@Neeyellow ik your primary choice of media is traditional drawing but have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone and tried to do 3d portraits? Its so much fun to do it using traditonal clay. Peronally for me I really enjoyed art the most when I discovered that you can create 3d portraits digitally too using a program called zbrush. Dont even need to buy clay anymore and I can then take my portraits and create the shaders and textures by hand painting them in photoshop and then rendering in arnold in a program called maya. You should check out Ian Spriggs. He does exactly what you do photorealstic portraits but in 3d. This change my view of art completely and feels fresh for me coming from drawing.

These are sweet! But people should know, the screen makes a huge difference. I had this up on my tv and couldn't see a lot of them, but when I switched to my laptop screen I could see all of them.

I dont know why the last test lists Cyprus as the top scoring country. I am from Cyprus and most people here have trouble recognizing more than 5 basic colours :D

Have you ever heard of the game I Love Hue? They scramble a gradient of colors and hues and you have to move the tiles back together. Much more fun than it sounds and definitely more fun than these tests. :P

Sorry, I didn't understand the question, I think you are asking me if Brustro drawing papers is as good as Stonehenge paper? I have never tried brustro drawing papers, but I will be happy to test it out and compare it, if you have brustro paper try using it with different types of colored pencils, as this can give you different end results. 😊
