I met lot of Srilankan Tamils friends in Canada and around the world. They are not really impressed with what Prabhakaran did. As per them the civil war turned into a ego war after few years. Prabhakaran forcefully took teenagers and involved them in rebel war and created many suicide bombers. When Srilanka approached him several times for peace movement prabhakaran never agreed and wanted to continue the war. Srilankans army killed many innocent people at the end of the war because of the situation created by prabhakaran. They think if they didn't not destroy them completely then this situation will never end and they continue in war from any side. As per them Prabhakaran never want any one to grow and he destroyed 34 tamil movement who fought against srilankans. Because selfish Prabhakaran want to be a one and only leader. He also thought he can be a President if they seperate Tamileelam. Prabhakaran is a Malayali root his grandfather migrated from kollam kerela to Srilanka for business. Lot of innocent people died because of prabhakaran worst attitude. Srilankans are not the best however in early 2000's they took several steps to create peace in the war land but selfish Prabhakaran and his worst revenge attitude never accept that. Finally he also never achieved what he planned and wanted. Thousands of innocent tamil people killed by Srilankan army was the only thing created by Prabhakaran in his history. Prabhakaran developed own military own Tv channel, own Radio own newspaper, tanker, submarine, airbase, Wow how Prabhakaran got all these money With all these funds why didn't he distribute those funds to all tamil people to go and live some where happy in this world? LTTE started in 1976 MGR was the Chief Miinister from 1977 - 1987 why don't he invite the limited tamil people to settle in Tamilnadu. 30 years waste of fight killed several life's. The civil war turned to ego war later it becomes a politcal selfish game. After Prabhakaran death atleast people lives peaceful with out war now. The British/christians are responsible for all this war. Before colonialism Sinhalese and Tamils didn't have Ethnic wars for 2500 years. Sure South India tried many times to capture Sri Lanka but the longest they controlled Sri Lanka was 60 years under Cholas. But between the average Sinhalese and tamils ethnic tension was unheard of. The Europeans intentionally educated/gave authority and positions of power to Tamils. This is divide and conquer 101. By giving minority artificial power over the majority they brewed 2 centuries of Sinhalese animosity towards Tamils. This was 100% intentional as it was easy for the Europeans to control sri lanka and plunder when the 2 largest Ethnicities are fighting amongst each other. Then in 1948 they just got up and left while leaving colonial state at the hands of the Sinhalese who they themselves had internal issues relating to socialism. Resulting power vacume is what the War eventually amalgamated into. This should have never happened.
