Dark humor is often a part of working in any type of para-military organization, but once you are publicly caught, you are made an example of. If your Sargeant caught you, he might not say anything, might chuckle or might say cut it out and delete it. Obviously, once you send it to one person, there is a strong likelihood that others will get it and possibly leak. Doesn't matter if it's damage control. The Sargeant received a complaint. He was smart enough to realize that he better get ahead of it. It still sends a message that even amongst their own, some of their own will cross the Blue Line....and for the public to start trusting their police officers, that is a good thing.

@@overlyover5253 no really. If I can give a little insight. It is a long and hard process to be able to qualify and be accepted into the academy. Weeks of study and sacrifice by them and their family if they have one. They have to memorize dialogs, rules, laws by certain time. Fill out forms every day not allowed to make one mistake as they are given only one form. If they make a mistake they go through a disciplinary process. Their partner's involvement is required as a support system which is necessary because of danger of exhaustion and also help with the requirements of maintaining uniform conditions standards. I know individuals whom have become a great addition for the police and serve their department their community and their family's with integrity courage honesty morally respectful, and continues to do so. Those that don't respect the commitment and promise they made through the training and teachings, might not been guided by the right reasons or motives when they decided join. Or might've allowed themselves to change their ideals influenced by other immature irresponsible, partners in their department. Which is disgusting and like the Chief said, dishonorable to the rest whom are trying to to the right thing. I applaud the decition of the Chief to take the disciplinary action she needed to take without hesitation. That's what needs to be done in every police department. You cannot ignore the facts and evidence that is in front of you in order to protect a few criminal individuals that can affect the whole police department and a community that relays in your guidance by example. @brenthooven8884 жыл бұрын
@@Tatsumix777 So you actually know that white people are offended because you call them crackers? I happen to think it's funny and don't want ANY word removed from our discourse. Please don't make the mistake of thinking any group or person will be overly emotional because you think you used a "slur". No point in being emotional and depriving yourself of logic and reason no matter WHO calls you ANYTHING. I do want to point out I would much rather someone that feels the need to judge me based on my skin just do it to my face so I can make my own decision. I would never want to see anyone "cancelled" because they said something that they thought was attacking my character and history. Calling me a name will never be close to the same as putting a bullet in my back or sucker punching me because you feel I should be exterminated. Not the same game, arena, sport etc. If words are so offensive that you become triggered and can use them as an excuse to hit or injure someone then try to think before you act. Impulse control is such a small portion of being a citizen that if you can't check your emotions then maybe you shouldn't be allowed around other people. Do you think that every society that is not moral by today's standards deserves to be forgotten? People prone to emotional outbursts and violence are easily controlled. If it only takes one voice to yell louder than others for emotionally weak persons to get angry and submit to that person. The moment you lash out due to the yelling voice just shows who owns you and your actions. All Americans should do their absolute best to think for themselves.
