+JakePittsBVB it was so fun seeing them for IV, so I hope someday you guys will do that again. As for 5, I guess it's just going to be one big surprise, isn't it? Which can be really fun following a record we got to see and hear so much about during the recording process. I've come up with a silly theory about bands: There's two types of frontmen in the world. 1. Those like Andy-- get really excited and give lots of updates, video clips, teasers, etc. from upcoming songs/albums 2. Those like Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic)-- literally such a huge tease. Don't say anything except for "yes there MIGHT be an album. MAYBE a single SOMEDAY.. Someday soon.. Oh and album art, have fun guessing! Daily updates about where we are and if we're recording but no hints towards anything at all. It's so fun to mess with everyone." Oh, and Ryan has his own definition of the word "soon" and basically it means "it could be tomorrow and it could be 2019. THE WORLD WILL NEVER KNOW!" 😂😂

Hey, Jake!! I have a question for you. I have a fender mexican stratocaster and i was thinking about a new EMG Set Kirk Hammet with EMG 81 in the bridge. What do you think? Should i buy this set or maybe should i buy only new pick-guard and just put seymor duncan distortion (humbucker) or something else there. Or maybe should i buy a new guitar? I love playing a lot of styles, i love stratocaster sound but even more i like playing metal, post hard core, death metal, black veil brides songs. Can you give me an advice, please?:)

What you can do is buy a strat that is loaded with humbuckers and possibly A distortion pedal and the EMGs and have a similar sound

+averytheamazingone i already have one strat and if i will buy a new guitar, it will be an ibanez or schecter or jackson, but i love how fender sounds and just need more power for the bridge pickup:) So it would be cheaper, when i just buy one humbucker and install him or buy this set :)

+Цилько Александр if you want more power in the bridge you would want to look past just a Duncan Distortion and possibly go with an Invadet or something along those lines and more metal power if you want to get a new guitar get an Ibanez Iron label series bc the come loaded with Duncans and are made for metal

+Цилько Александр i have a Schecter c-1 fr with emgs. It sounds great with heavy distortion and i find it more comfortable to play than a strat because the neck is smoothed out where the body is. My only issue with it is the floyd rose is a pain to deal with if you want alternate tunings.

Try finding audio clips of the two pickups and listening to them to see which ones you like more. At the end of the day, it's always what sounds and feels better for you. Listen to sound samples of various humbucker pickups. Personally though, I'd probably go with passives pickups. Some of them can still sound good with distortion while still sounding "natural" with cleans. I hear great things about dimarzio pickups. The dimarzio site has a nice let feature that helps you choose which ever one of their pickups they think suits your guitar and music style.
