I've followed this video (by pausing a lot!), but I'm stuck! I don't have much experience with photoshop. I've got it down to the changing of the color. I have converted to the smart object. I did the change layer style and color overlay. the color won't change from gray for some reason. It shows that I'm picking a different color, but the color only changes the shade of gray. If I play around with the other options (pattern, shadow) all of those things work...but I can't get the color to change. I'm sure there is some setting that I'm missing, but I am having trouble finding a solution! Thanks for any help you can give! And thanks for the video! :)

Angela Sanchez That does sound unusual. Are you in a grayscale image mode ? I assume the pattern has color so that probably isn't the issue. What about creating a pattern that is made of a solid color or a gradient overlay made of the same blue or green ? Not a great workaround I know - will that work ? Not so flexible though. You can always combine the smart object with an adjustment layer / hue and saturation with colorize set on to change the color of the underlying items

Graphicxtras.com it actually was in grayscale though I'm not sure how that happened! I kept digging around the Web until I figured it out. Thanks so much for the reply and the video!
