Hey I keep getting a notice to say “could not rasterize because the pixel data for this layer is not directly editable”

Hey! If you’re in the default view with the square as layers, make sure you swipe the curves layers to the left (it will turn black) so that you’re brushing on the mask layer.

Thanks buddy, to group the layers you have to select them and then tap on the folder on the bottom right. I hope that helps 👍 Affinity photo is really complete if im being honest. It has all the tools to be the “photoshop” on ipad. Plus you dont need the subscription to have it, you pay one fee and you get all the updates for life.

Hey there, can I just check something? Maybe I just don’t understand properly but.. in apps like a Snapseed and Lightroom, you can adjust the shadows and highlights with sliders. That’s pretty much the same thing as dodge and burn isn’t it?

I don’t know if you ever found your answer but.. kinda. Dodge and Burn allows you to lighten and darken SPECIFIC areas of your photo where, until last week, you couldn’t do that in LR without a bunch of extra work with gradient masks.

exactly. photoshop mix or whatever its called is a thousand times better than so called real photoshop. it's not the hard to add it. it's not like we are going to buy it instead of the desktop when we you can only get it by subscription so it makes no sense to hold features back.
