I tried out the Intuos Pro Medium from 2017, and while it's great, I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it to upgrade from the 2013 model that I also own. I was hoping that the bluetooth and the smaller footprint of the tablet would be worth it, but when I went back to the older one just to see how it felt after using the new one, I discovered there was NO drop off in the user experience for me. So I'll be returning it to stick with the 2013 model. I do however, recommend the newer one to anybody looking to get a drawing tablet!

I like it. I do use a Wacom pro tablet and I also had one of those grey tablets like you showed at the beginning but mine was a little smaller. I look forward to seeing the next video on that bigger box. Thanks for sharing...

Waiting for mine to come in right now ! I definitely like the look of this base for the pen a lot more than the prior Pro , it was constantly falling over because I used the thicker pen grip , and it was also easily knocked over by clumsy people like me . Definitely think this one will be much better .

Hi! I was wondering wether you tried the older model of the intuos pro as well? and which you prefer: this new model or the previous model? I'm planning to replace my old bamboo fun tablet for an intuos pro, you see.. and the older model is 100€ cheaper, so I was wondering wether it would be worth buying the newer model over the cheaper previous model. Thanks in advance!

Colin - Thanks for pointing me to this video. I am very much leaning toward purchasing the medium, but am concerned about all the comments regarding the surface texture and nib wear. Now that you have had this for a year, did you find that to be an issue?

However, I use Corel Paint Shop Pro, not Photoshop. I hope it's compatible and I can convert what I learn from you teaching with Photoshop to me using Paint Shop.

I have an older Wacom Intous 4 with the 'paperlike' surface. Nice surface but wearing down far too fast...cost a lot to buy new sheets. This surface will probably not wear down anytime soon...? How is the feel or contact when drawing...is it also somewhat paperlike or how..? Would be great for me to know more - I am about to buy a new tablet :) Thanks.

Hi. This is going to be my first time getting a graphics tablet. I'm using it for illustrations, drawing, digital painting, animations, comics, ect... now investing my time into the digital field, I can't decide on which what size of Wacom Intuos Pro to get! Medium or Large? Can the large be calibrated to have a smaller active drawing area? I have a 27'' monitor and soon going to upgrade to a 30''. I'm afraid that if I get the large, it'll be too tiring for my arm ... but I'm also worried the medium might be too snappy on a large 30'' monitor. I don't want to sacrifice the comfort of the medium for the natural feel of the large. Which should i get??? Also about the nibs... if I order the smooth surface, will the nibs last longer? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, :) Also, great review!

I have a Wacom intuos pro large. But the generation before this one. I'm concerned about two things: I'm not sure if i should get the large or medium. And second: I'm a bit concerned about the fact that on the macro key's there is no indication which shortcut is applied to it. On my Wacom, i have little led displays which shows what shortcut is applied to it. So i'm not sure if i should buy one. I really like the fact that it has touch and that it has more pressure levels though. So i'm a bit in doubt to be honest :-) Great review btw!

I'm concerned about the orientation from the tablet to the screen. How do you know where you've left off on the tablet to continue on the screen? Also, normally tend to rest their hand down on base; can you do that with the tablet - or do you have to keep your hand elevated (which can become tiring)? It would greatly help if we could see you draw while seeing BOTH your tablet and computer screen.
@photoshopcafe
@photoshopcafe 3 жыл бұрын
It uses absolute positioning, so the tablet maps to your screen, top left of tab is always top left of screen, bottom right, is bottom right :) You can change it in the settings for multiple screens if you wish. .

Any reason to get the previous model of Intuos Pro over this new one? My Intuos 5 seems to be slowly dying so I may have to seek a replacement soon, and I know for certain that all of my tablet's accessories will be compatible with the first model of Intuos Pro, but I'm not so sure if this new one will support things like the Classic Pen and Grip Pen.

I have the most basic One by Wacom, but I'm not a total skinflint, I got the larger size. It took me a long time to discipline myself to use it, and if my iMac's mouse batteries didn't need charging so often if I used it for editing, I still wouldn't be using the pad. Now I've got used to it I love it, and wonder why others don't use them. I am thinking of upgrading, but wonder if I really need all the bells and whistles and how long would it take me to retrain myself to incorporate them into my workflow.

My newly bought Wacom Intuos Pro M has got express keys that don't work. It has been like that from the very beginning - I bought it 3 days ago. :) I contacted Wacom support, followed all their advice and the result: hardware problem. The drivers update for Windows 10 seems not to do anything. How can Wacom sell something that doesn't work straight from the box? I know many people are looking for the answer to the problem online with no result ;( I can use the pen and gestures, but no express keys - it's so dissappointing. @octopus1182
@octopus1182 6 жыл бұрын
Nessi-Music nibs wear down naturally, it's natural for all things, friction cause heat, and also causes the nib to wear down, if the nib doesn't wear down, the tablet would. There are already nibs in the pen holder. But there is something you can do to slow it down. Try using less pressure, and set the pen pressure sensitivity higher. Use different nibs, some work better then others But don't worry if you like your pressure or nib! There are always replacement ones!

Hi. Good review! I'm a first time viewer to your channel. I'm not a professional artist, but I'm very interested in getting into digital drawing and graphics, at least as a hobby if nothing else. Anyway, I'm wondering how much different this experience is compared to buying the new Samsung Galaxy Book 12 with the new S-Pen. Of course, you know that the S-Pen uses Wacom technology and that the new S-Pen now has over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity. That's half of the Wacom Pro Pen 2, but I'm mainly curious about the difference between using an external drawing tablet versus drawing directly on the display. As I said, I'm not a professional artist. However, I still am interested in seeing which one offers a better drawing experience. (BTW, I already have a very good laptop, but it's not a touchscreen.)

Hi I have a dilemma So for the last 3 days I have been looking for my tablet pen all over my house. I have given up the search and have coped with the fact that I may have thrown it away accidentally. I am not sure if I can replace it without having to purchase the product again...I have looked on Amazon for replacements and I found some promising ones but I am not sure if it will be compatible with my tablet. I don’t want to lose money. If anyone can recommend me with the best replacement option, please let me know! Otherwise I will have to take my chances and buy the one I saw off amazon. The tablet is rlly good and I’ve been itching to draw some projects I have stored on my computer. Tablet model :PTH 660

Is it worth to go from the old wacom intuos pro to the new intuos pro?

Im thinking about the same thing, but NO, its NOT. The older version is better, bacause the new one has nib problems. Nibs wear down WAY to fast. Thats why people complain

Well too late now LOL. I sold my PTH-651. I can afford the new intuos pro but I'm just waiting right now. I'm using a CTH-480 right now as well.

Nvm u can just add some extra money and buy the smooth texture sheet and it will work out. I wanted to buy an pth-851 but its only 1 year warranty and VERY expensive, same price as th 2017.... So i might aswell buy pth-860 and get the smooth texture sheet. The nibs will still be the main problem but it will fix things for the most part.

Hi! buddy, I just bought the latest new Wacom large tablet 2017do you know how can I install the latest newer Wacom Driver using OSX 10.9.5? The reason I was asking is, because every time I tried to install the latest new driver it keeps giving me an error that I need to run OSX 10.10 or late version.....:( Do you know how to make it work with older versions? Thanks, for the tutorial--cheers!
