This is the best tutorial I have seen in a long time. You stayed on topic identified shortcut and hot keys both visually and verbally and your advertisement was placed at the end for subscriptions. It is very rare that I have nothing to criticize.

Otherwise this is a very handy tutorial as I am playing around with ideas for photomontages (two or more images composited) and being able to capture a specific look as I experiment is very helpful. Definitely feeds into the creative process...Thank you!

You can select multiple files in the Export As Menu Box and change the parameters of the export settings for multiple files at once! You also don't have to select layers to export as, you can select Artboards as well.

Hi Jesus, this is great however can you just add these exported files to a new file and if you have a batch of images to process how would you handle that? I hope this is clear, so in summary I would like to apply all the settings from 1 file to multiple file in PS. Also if I was to re-import this back into Lightroom would I get all the settings and crops to appear on the files in the LR catalog of selected images? Thanks

Interesting tut Jesus but I'm not sure why I'd want to export layers separately. Admittedly I'm not a graphic designer but I'd be interested in knowing why this is a useful feature.
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel6 жыл бұрын
Steven, a typical use case would be the design of a website, or motion graphics video in Photoshop. Then you take the individual assets (a button, logo, text, etc.) to another app to work with them individually.
@Sharpknifecollector6 жыл бұрын
There are a few reasons to export layers to files. One would be so you can use specific styles and/or filters on other projects which were applied onto the existing layer. Separating the layer into it's own folder will make it easier to extract elements from past projects and placing them into newer ones. This especially helps if the naming conventions are very descriptive. Many graphic designers have a scrap file they keep on there desktop or home screen. All elements which have been used before are ready for quick access. Large icons with thumbnail settings are usually found here. Many graphic designers use this folder as an inspirational folder. They are stuck on a project they don't know how to begin. Scrolling through older elements more likely than not usually is sufficient enough to inspire.

It makes it much easier to show someone a layer, photo changes, text changes etc to someone who is not near you, or has photoshop, this way, I can send it, and they can see the work and say yes or no to the work...etc. It comes in very handy as photoshop is VERY expensive and not everyone has the program.

I do my art in Photoshop, but i create animations in video games, so its really necessary to separate different pieces of a rigable character in layers in Photoshop, exporting all of them at once is much easier than exporting each individual layer :)

Hi I have several layers with different graphics that I want to bulk save but I want each individual layer (graphic) to save on top of my background layer. Is it possible to bulk save like this? Ex. I have 50 layers. Each layer has a different image. In the same Photoshop file I have a background layer, so in total I have 51 layers. What I want to do is save all the image layers individually but I want them all to save on top of the background layer. Hope that makes sense and any help will be appreciated.
