This was one great tutorial. I'm very impressed by not only how you showed how to make a custom brush, but all the different ways to use the custom brush. To use it as fog and then to create the fire/smoke effect was really cool. I would have been happy just knowing how to make the cloud brush, but then you went into depth with the brush settings and different sizes. It was like hearing ideas for melodies or something. The instructions were clear and the steps seem simple. Again thank you for the awesome tutorial I can't wait to try some of these techniques.

Great tutorial!! I learned how to create custom brushes using the mixer brush as well. With that tool the custom brush will retain the colors as well as giving you the ability to adjust all the settings (opacity, size, dynamics jitter etc.)

Really great tutorial. Quick question about the color of brush - is it not possible to retain the color properties of the original image you are using for you brush? For example if I use a grass texture is it possible for me to retain the same color as the texture? I have difficulty adjusting the color in the "foreground/background" thing so that it looks natural. Thanks
