Seriously awesome. Very short, sweet, and to the point. You packed a lot in there!

I like that trick when you cut the shot by a frame right before the punch. So simple, and so effective.

Hi, Boom Library. Here is a link to the pack: www.boomlibrary.com/boomlibrary/products/close-combat They are priced higher than most, but they have by far the best quality fighting sound effects I've found.

Hey, i've a question, welll i'm new at this filming stuff, and i have a canon t5, the thing is the kind of resolution that the camara use it's diferent with the lense you are using?, i mean i don't like to much, the realistic of the video, comparing like a "novela" in mexico, to an american soap opera

can you tell where exaclty did you get the foley from. (used in this video)

The crop on the sensor won't compress space any more, it'll just punch in a bit from what I'm aware of

Where you get your sound effects

I know you understand what I meant, but I am always skeptical of the audience watching. It's very easy to forget there will be folk watching your video who don't register the 210mm focal length and the fact your talent has so much more experience than most if not nearly all talent would have. They would unnecessarily Direct the talent to be too close and more than likely there would be someone hurt. I have had a 2 foot away rule explained to me. In that they never are closer than 2 feet from landing a punch. This rule is much very manageable with the camera angles you've explained. Hopefully your audience will read our comments and take that into consideration. I saw one talent cut in a fight scene and that was almost the end of the shoot that day. The Director was basically fired and that was not pretty.

Hi steve, you are correct that ACTORS don't need to be more than 2 feet away for simple punches.. but sometimes you have to film an actual fight scene which is a little more complex.. and for that, my friend and I just started our action filmmaking tutorial series :) we're both professional stuntmen, stop by if you have time!

Talent are unnecessarily close to each other when swing their arms. Serous fail since safety should most important consideration.
@YeagerFilm10 жыл бұрын
I understand your concern. I've worked with these actors on over 30 different shorts / films, these two particular actors have worked with each other in numerous fight sequences over the years. People just need to use their best judgement when working with their actors of choice. We used our best judgement for this production. Safety is always our top priority on set.
