I’m really liking your series and feel like I’m learning a lot of new things. I’m trying to relate to the patch a resource phrase. Is that the equivalent of update a db record? If so why does it have different words?

I think PHP is still a great language, when used the proper OOP way, (using patterns and so on...), but nowadays the focus is shifting to JS. As an expert, Jefrey, what can you say about it? Is it worth learning and using it? Will one find a well payed job having a great knowledge of PHP and some framework ?
