Phrases and clauses

A phrase is a part of sentence which consists of one or more than one words having a complete sense . But a phrase is not a sentence. A clause is a part of sentence either an independent or Dependent part. An independent clause is called Main clause or Principal clause. And the dependent clause is subordinate clause.
