Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc

@@jackcoleman5618 It's kind of an odd configuration that seems a little awkward for a dome tent, because the stove pipe is out in the middle of the space. But it does reduce the amount of sparks that make their way up the chimney.

@@dwightstewart7181 Me Stewart, you are being too naive. All those things you mentioned can and do break apart or break down. Modern world convenience items are only as good as they are made to begin with. And if we ever had to try and live in a ‘Dark Winter’ scenario or a grid down situation, you would be much better off having more simplified ways of survival rather than your non working solar panel that you’ll spend days gripping about. Live smartly and don’t be so reliant on camping with modern day conveniences. They will only let you down in the long run. Here’s a perfect example of maybe something you can relate to - I have an older vehicle with manual roll up windows and a newer truck with an expensive motorized window system with what appears to be heavy duty window switches. Apparently some moisture got down into my much newer vehicle window switch and shorted out the 4 switches that were there on the drivers door. Couldn’t replace just one switch. All four together were used in a circuit. $900.00 later and waiting for available parts got those windows working again. But get what? That older truck with manual roll up windows never stopped working and never caused any problems whatsoever. So tell me sir, which situation was better to own if say parts became unavailable, hyperinflation of parts or job loss caused more problems trying to get the window operational again? That question just got answered for you very quickly. I could provide multiple examples for you but hopefully you understood it on this round. Simplicity is the best way to go for many reasons. Only fools rely on all the technology to work out great all the time. Sometime when you have a free moment, read up why the Russians kept around fighting aircraft with vacuum tube technologies versus discarding them all by using straight electronic systems only. They have both but try to understand why they kept old school aircraft around. It was very intelligent on their behalf to keep the more simpler and reliable aircraft flying for one particular reason. I am not going to tell you why. You need to learn about why on your own. Class dismissed.
